What's the point of buying Legacy edition aka NHL 14 AGAIN for full price?

Believe it or not it is a totally different game, and so was NHL14 to NHL15. Sure, the graphics looked the same, but the core gameplay and modes of it (GM Mode in particular) are very different and much improved. Trust me. It may look the same, but it is different. Worth the buy to me, for GM Mode and EASHL, which are staples for me.

I played 14 on 360 and then tried 15 on 360, and thats 100% correct...They look pretty identical but the gameplay in 15 was much improved. Game felt a lot different.

I however preferred the gameplay of Next Gen 15 over past gen tho.

Yeah... I think I'll just buy the legacy edition for HUT, LTL and GM, maybe I'll dip into EASHL this year. I'll wait until NHL 17 to get it on next(current)-gen.

During simulating, it would be nice if that "club events" box showed your team stats instead like it used to in old GM mode. The legend for the calendar does not need that much room

If he was with make-a-wish it's obviously understandable, but it's just some kid who wanted some attention so he got his Daddy to bid on him to be put into a video game. Just another one of EA's schemes to make that extra dollar, yet again...

No Worries. As soon as I came across the video I just imagined in my head starting up a GM Mode and a year in seeing some 95ovr player I never even heard of leading the league in points....

I wish they added the few little aesthetics they did in '15 GM Mode PS3 for '16 GM Mode PS4. Like I'd be nice to be able to see who's leading my team in goals/assists/points without having to go through menus. Little things like that...

I remember seeing being able to turn off the 'Meeting Notification'. But I don't know if that's exactly Morale, or not.

Youd be amazed how many people ask for tiny stuff like this, itd make a huge difference.

Put it in the cut scenes. Instead of showing my player skating around for 5 seconds, throw up the league leaders really quick, or give me the player's year-to-date stats, SOMETHING

Again, comparing to NBA, but when I would play a regular offline game in NBA 2k15 and was still connected online, they would pull up REAL LIFE, REAL-TIME standings, scores, leaders, etc., why can't NHL do this for GM mode cut scenes instead of watching players skate around or even regular offline games as long as you're logged in? They even have the commentary constantly updated and referencing either the real life stats or in-game GM stats.

EA either seriously needs to take some pointers from the NBA 2k series, or 2k needs to get back in the hockey game. Even with half the effort of NBA, they'd probably put out a competing hockey game and we already know how good those GM modes would be.

He's not a sellout like everyone else though. He does his own thing, and it's why he's hands down the best. And no one can argue with that, lol.

That's fine, people have there favorites. But it's hard not to say he puts out the best content in the NHL gaming community.

Just clarifying a few things that have confused me from some of these recent posts.. I pre-ordered NHL 16 from the XB1 store and already downloaded it. After that I got the 1 month EA access trial. Am I not able to play the game early because I downloaded the game already?

If I am able to play the game on the 10th does that include HUT?

For pure DEFENCE, he is. For pure shutdown Defending, he is. I think Karlsson is, but that's just my bias.

I think Karlsson is the best d-man in the NHL as well.

People always try to say he isn't used on the PK to backup their opinion of them not thinking he is the best d-mam in the nhl.... lol. someone pls

I also find that he makes by-far the best NHL content on youtube. There's a couple other decent people but I find Johnny's stuff to be of much higher quality than most, from both a presentation and entertainment standpoint (although that's just down to opinions)

I love that they've toned down overalls but some of these stats are just brutal to me.. Jeff Carter at 90SKT, 90SHT, 91HND? Maybe skating and shot is close, but hands should be 87-88 IMO. 90SKT for Benn? More like 88. Gustav Nyquist is going to be way more OP than he should be.. Hossa at 86SKT, 85SHO, 85HND is criminal. Barrie at 88DEF is laughable. Meanwhile Brodie is only 86DEF..

Not complaining too much.. it's so much more realistic than last season. These ones stick out as the bad ones.

Also Helm > RNH makes no sense.
