Why would you drop Lundqvist 1 overall? That makes no sense......

He's aging & missed a chuck of the season due to injury for the first time in his career. Quick has a poor year, they'll both drop, & Price will be the only 93 OVR goalie. If he wins hart maybe 94. Hardly inconceivable Henrik drops 1 damn point.....

but when you have a goalie who posts .920% save percent+ every year then he wouldn't/shouldn't be dropped.....age doesn't matter....he will only be 34...that isn't that old...and he had one freak injury that will never happen again....and Quick isn't even that great....there are a number of goalies better then Quick....

OK dude you're a moron. It's not like he was always 93. I actually hate quick but EA isn't about to drop him below 90 & age doesn't matter? The idea that Lundqvist at age 34 May just be on the verge of regression NATURALLY, means nothing? Get real. I love Lundqvist, WAY more than you. Fact. You're just too strong of a homer to be realistic

He only became 93 after winning Vezina & making the Cup. Before he was 92. He got hurt, he's aging, he'll drop a point. 1 point. get over it.

So uh, what's with the over reaction? I was just making a simple point, and naturally, when you are as good as Lundqvist is, you don't regress that quickly, and he hasn't regressed yet. And how do you love Lundqvist way more then me? I'm not being a homer, saying Lundqvist should stay at 93 is pretty realistic, he is still one of the top 2 goalies in the league. IMO I think Price should be a 94 or 95 even, and Hank got hurt for pretty much the first time in his career, with how durable he has been, there isn't a giant chance he is going to get injured again, especially not the way he got injured this year. Oh and if you love Lundqvist "WAY" more then me, isn't that kinda being a homer? :sarcasm:

I'm a Rangers fan too, so you can't say you love players way more then someone else, i'm a die hard Ranger fan, and you don't have to ***** about about one point either, everyone is a bit biased towards their team. and how do you know he will drop a point? this is EA we are talking about. It's like saying Girardi should be an 86, when he should really only be around 83 because he can't skate, pass, shoot, etc.

So many ppl overvalueing their own teams..(I dont own NHL 15, did they bump almost all role players to +/-80?!)
So here's my own version of overvalueing my team, ima do it this way: (what I think they WILL get / what I think they SHOULD get)

Killorn(83/84-85) - Filppula(85/84-85) - Stamkos(92/93)
Palat(86/88) - Johnson(88/89) - Kucherov(86/88)
Brown(76/76) - Paquette(78/78) - Callahan(84/84)
since Morrow wont be resigned: Drouin(80/82) - Boyle(82/83)

Hedman(89/92) - Stralman(84/87-88)
Garrison(85/85) - Coburn (85/84)
Carle(84/82) - Sustr(79/80)
Nesterov(80/79)

Bishop(86/87)
Vasilevski(79/82)

:handclap:

If you don't own 15 how did you come up with your ratings because you got a lot right?

Stamkos should go down, closer to 90 and from Franchise to Elite. Johnson I think you nailed at 88 and should be Elite. Brown and Paquette should go up, 79 and 80. Drouin should not improve but still stay high potential.

Hedman should be 89 Elite. Carle and Stralman should switch completely, Stralman an 86 top 4 and Carle 82 top 6. Sustr 81 since he's an 80 now but med top 6 potential.

Bishop will probably be a 88. Vasilevskiy up to an 82 but medium Elite instead of low.

top 2 no doubt, he has been one of the best goalies in the world even with Torterella's horrible defensive structure.

Stamkos is a franchise player, no doubt. Brown and Paqeutte are good role players, but not 80s.

Not the version of Stamkos we saw this year which is what EA needs to base ratings off of. He's barely Elite right now.

Paquette is currently a 78 and Brown a 77. They have improved from last year so should get a bump, they have Morrow as an 81 so having them at an 80 isn't a stretch.

That's what I had with them as what they will be. In the category "what they should be" I looked at them apart from others andnlast years ratings. I love both those guys, but I think role players grt too high ratings in these anyways. EA has changed the approach of rating role players, too. I remember how in earlier games many role players were 70-75s or a bit higher and suddenly in one game they had sth like we account thebroles they play and rate how they fill these rolls which led to several liw role players have 81 or 82 ratings.

Do the Flame since I believe they will have a lot of different overalls from last year.

Johnny Gaudreau (86) Will have great hands, I think this card could go for a lot
Jiri Hudler (87) +2 from this year.
Mikael Backlund (83)
Joe Colborne (81)
Matt Stajan (82)
Mason Raymond (84)
David Jones (82)
Michael Ferland (78)
Sam Bennett (77)
Lance Bouma (82)

Mark Giordano (90) if this isn't at least 90, I'll be surprised

Dougie Hamilton (86)
Dennis Wideman (86)
Kris Russell (83)
Ladislav Smid (81)
Dereyk Engelland (79)

Jonas Hiller (87)

Unless they're going with the Madden format where at launch there really is only a handful of cards 90 or 91 overall but none above that. NHL ratings are scaled sort of weird anyways where too much emphasis is on the awareness stats. Go looks at Subbans base card I don't believe one category has a 90 in it...

Also though if they're going to release as many cards as they did this year then making the base cards lower is IMO better. You won't have marginally different cards later on in packs. And when the team of the year and stuff comes out those base cards will be pretty cheap so new players have a chance to still use the big named players.

I hope they have a way to view all stats like Madden and hope they have elites so we don't have this shinny Gold thing and regular gold. That way it's easier to sort

So uh, what's with the over reaction? I was just making a simple point, and naturally, when you are as good as Lundqvist is, you don't regress that quickly, and he hasn't regressed yet.

I wouldn't put him that high without raising other goalies then too. The Vezina race between Rinne and Price, for example, was very tight (even in Rinne's favor) until Rinne got injured. When he came back, he did not look the same.

Had the chance to break the record for wins if things had gone right.

Crosby (94)
Toews (93)
Ovechkin (93)

I think Toews deserves to given the highest rating in the NHL 16', or atleast be tied with Crosby. I also wouldn't be upset if Toews was given a 94, while Crosby was dropped to 93 and became tied with Ovechkin.

It pains me to say this as a Canucks fan, but Toews absolutely deserves to be the new face of the NHL. 3 cups to Sidney's 1.
