This is further proof that you've never even played the mode, at least not extensively. If you can't distinguish between clubs and drop ins, you've spent a grand total of 30 seconds in the game mode. If you're going to try to argue that one mode is better than another, at least give both modes a fair shot.
Before you reply that I've never played HUT, check out the HUT threads(around 8-14). I've played it extensively when my friends weren't online in each of the previous titles since it was conceived. I remember being ecstatic about pulling a Regina Pats Jordan Eberle, that's how long I've been playing HUT. I'm not saying people can't enjoy it, but HUT does suffer from at least two horrendous flaws, the awful AI(not a problem in 6v6 EASHL), and the impossibility of getting great players without spending money, which you seem to deny. The only way to save up enough pucks to create a great team is either through spending money, or through cheating the system and trading whole collections. Even that is very time consuming, and you'd have to collect nearly the entire NHL before you could afford a 1M puck(Crosby, Ovi, HL) card. The teams near the top have a team full of these guys.
