This is further proof that you've never even played the mode, at least not extensively. If you can't distinguish between clubs and drop ins, you've spent a grand total of 30 seconds in the game mode. If you're going to try to argue that one mode is better than another, at least give both modes a fair shot.

Before you reply that I've never played HUT, check out the HUT threads(around 8-14). I've played it extensively when my friends weren't online in each of the previous titles since it was conceived. I remember being ecstatic about pulling a Regina Pats Jordan Eberle, that's how long I've been playing HUT. I'm not saying people can't enjoy it, but HUT does suffer from at least two horrendous flaws, the awful AI(not a problem in 6v6 EASHL), and the impossibility of getting great players without spending money, which you seem to deny. The only way to save up enough pucks to create a great team is either through spending money, or through cheating the system and trading whole collections. Even that is very time consuming, and you'd have to collect nearly the entire NHL before you could afford a 1M puck(Crosby, Ovi, HL) card. The teams near the top have a team full of these guys.

I've never claimed to play the mode extensively lol, why would I, I enjoy the other modes more? I don't need to play it extensively to know that I prefer the offerings in the other ones because they give me what I want. I've probably put a few hours into the variations of the mode where you just play as one skater, I don't like it. So too with Madden, I never enjoyed that style of play in Madden (though obviously it didn't have the online component), I never enjoyed it in FIFA, I do enjoy it more so in NBA 2k, but even then I much prefer association mode, and I only ever really enjoy the Be a Player style modes or team up style mode as the PG. It's not my thing.

Again, you need to calm down and just accept that you aren't the authority on what the best mode is. Not everyone needs to share your view. Not everyone needs the worlds greatest team in HUT to be competitive by the way, but you don't seem to realise that. If anything, in my experience (and this spans across all the UT modes I've played) that typically those with incredibly stacked teams end up being pretty bad because they try to substitute skill with the game by buying packs. In FIFA in particular, I'm usually thrilled when I see a full TOTY on the loading screen because 9/10 the guy sucks.

I fail to see why you continue on, these other modes are better to me, you'll just have to grow up and accept that.

Presentation video looks great. Can't wait to see the gameplay. The line from the EA forums isn't much to go on, but I guess that opens up the possibility that they introduce EASHL next week.

They used to have pre order bonuses for your EASHL skater. Do they have one of those this year? I can only find stuff about HUT bonuses.

Anyone else not impressed with the intro? It's a nice change and improvement, but meh.

The graphics (team logos and names) on the screen still look laggy.

Okay, you clearly don't even understand my point. I'm no longer responding to you.

Yes, not everyone must subscribe to your line of thinking unfortunately for you. I'll continue to have my own opinion on things and you'll just have to be OK with that.

It's a lot easier to make a single tweet or Facebook post than to fly in Doc Emrick with minimal notice to record a little audio clip to address an internet rumor. You would think.

No, i know that. I'm saying it just seemed weird that they choose to use that particular clip. It's just me looking too much into it though.

Just because everyone doesn't agree EASHL is the best mode(though most do), doesn't mean it's not true. It is the best mode. It's the most popular(objective fact), it's the most authentic(objective fact), and it's the most fun(subjective opinion, but one that is held by the vast majority of the community). Let me repeat, EASHL is the best mode, and you've done absolutely nothing to dispute that except by saying "yeaaa, but HUT is fun tooooo. Not everyone agrees with you so stop spreading this commonly accepted fact as a fact."

You seem to be so worked up over somebody having a different opinion than you. I'll no longer respond, then you respond straight away  again you go back to authenticity, but again, I'm not looking for the most authentic Hockey representation (nor does EA strive for that), I'm looking for the most fun GAME that appeals to me. Other modes offer things that EASHL does not, those are things I like, thus those modes are better for me.

I'm not going to try to dispute what is the best mode for all of those who play the game because, unlike you, I can readily accept that everyone has different values when it comes to judging what is the best, and I don't consider mine to be more right or wrong than anyone else. Everyone is quite entitled to their own thoughts on that. Again, not everyone needs to subscribe to your line of thinking dear leader.

Looks like we already have a thread dedicated to those being heartbroken over EASHL being gone, so plenty of complaining can be done in there. I'll be buying with or without EASHL, so great for me, and we'll wait and see what the sales numbers are like IF it is actually out of the game and how many people actually follow through with their suggestions of not actually buying it.

I'm biting the bullet and preordering for 360 tonight. I skipped 14, which was the first time since 08. I have no plans to get an XboxOne in the immediate future so I'll need an NHL fix until that happens.

Well I was confident about EASHL being in based on Rammers comments...but that blurb from EA sounds like some lip service before the big let down.

If they fixed ice tilt and defensive/offensive AI I will be happy.

Also, I'd like if they give the computer more moves than just cutting to the net and protecting the puck, getting crushed, rinse and repeat. And the unstoppable move where they go behind the net, come out front and roof it. At least make it so the AI defense can stop it a lot better. Oh, and when there's a clear two on one, and your AI teammate just sits back and doesn't join you, that's infuriating for sure.

I'd say it's a good sign that they're making a game mode announcement of some sort. They don't necessarily need to squash the rumor now if they had been planning all along to release game mode information next week. Obviously we don't really know, but I'm leaning about 60% towards EASHL being in the game, although that is based on little more than gut feeling.

Wait, is ice tilt real? If so, that would explain A LOT.

Sometimes, I can hit EVERYTHING in sight and make PERFECT passes. Other times, my 6'9", 275 pound D-Man with 90 speed and 85 strength can't hit 5'7", 120 pound wingers and my passes don't go ANYWHERE near where I aimed.

I dunno how many times I aimed a dump on a PP for the left corner, only to have it go over the boards in the neutral zone on the RIGHT side, usually resulting in a 5-on-3.

I can actually see the big announcement about game modes being their opportunity to say that EASHL is in. Imagine the excitement from fans, and everyone rushing to the comments to say they've pre-ordered. As someone alluded to earlier in this thread...talk about marketing. I highly doubt they would wait this long to say it isn't in - that would be terrible PR.

I'm also thinking, since they've re-done the menus to be like FIFA, that not including EASHL would leave things quite barren for online play. I just can't see them not including it.

Someone apparently found something in the code years ago, but like your examples listed, sometimes it's just too obvious. Sometimes it's bad luck, but something is definitely fishy.

I play better against MUCH better HUT teams, with a better human player as well. Everything goes my way when i'm down by one.

Shh, not enough negativity.

It does. But is it going to do that when you're playing Oshawa v.s Peterborough? Because last I checked, they won't be covering that game lol.

Good point lol. But if someone wants to be that unrealistic to play those teams in the first place, they likely wouldn't care about the intro either.
