I'm still going to buy the game, but I'm not going to rush for it. I'll buy a PS4 in October for WWE 2K15 and then buy NHL 15 with it then rather than buying the PS4 in September.

looking closer at that trailer, which claims to be entirely from gameplay, I have to ask when all those first person shots would ever happen unless it's a new feature for LTL or EASHL? It wouldn't make much sense to have a first person view of a faceoff or a guy looking around from inside the box during a cut-scene...

it was just for the trailer, 1st person mode won't be a thing.

The people complaining that there's a strong chance EASHL is being removed are absolutely reasonable. EASHL is the best game mode(by far, not even remotely close) and should be first priority. It's reasonable to ask that at least the most important modes are in the next generation of the game, especially since they skipped out on NHL14 on next gen because they were "focusing on NHL15". Running out of time is not an excuse. That's poor planning if that's the case. EASHL must be in the game. It's the best mode. If it's not in the game, I will be very interested to see the sales of the next gen copies.

I'm legitimately concerned by their silence at this point. I've always bought the game each year so I can't even think about not buying it, but there's no logical reason for me to buy the game without EASHL. But this is EA, and this would be the most EA thing ever.

Oh please, give me a ****ing break. The whining on these boards is absolutely ridiculous. I'm certainly gonna buy the game and I'm sure I'll enjoy it, because I've loved it in years past despite a couple gameplay drawbacks. If you're so discontent, don't buy the ****ing game! Just quit crying all the time; it makes it very difficult to read this thread.

God, this is the worst kind of ****ing thinking. People like you are the reason EA keeps making ****** games.

If nobody complains, nothing will get changed. EA has absolutely 0 competition when it comes to the NHL franchise, they can pull **** out their ass all they want, and it's pretty much what they've done for the past 4 years.

As far as I'm concerned, all people do is complain and complain to EA and nothing ever changes. A huge drop in sales would be the only thing to force change. And EA is asking for just that if they're omitting EASHL.

Waiting for someone to say "sure there is, just pop in your NHL '14 disc".

In reality, that does suck that they wouldn't have a demo for PS3/360. I'm curious why they wouldn't have one.

Especially considering the games are probably going to be a lot closer than people think other than graphics(pre-gen vs. new-gen). Just look at the gameplay in that video. It looks exactly like NHL 14 with a slightly better polish and different camera angles. Player motions still look awkward as heck and there was no group celebration(and the celebration that did occur was so weird. He's just standing there)

I'm sure they look through their message boards and their facebook page at feedback, but the only real way to make significant change is with your wallet. They will really start looking at the fans and their feedback when the sales numbers take a significant drop. If you are truly upset with the product then don't buy it. Why would they bother changing how things are when they have no competition, there is no motivation other than the amount of sales they get.

That being said I'm getting it and am excited for the game haha

I haven't bought an NHL game in 2 years and I don't plan on buying this one. It just sucks that year after year they keep putting out crap, with literally no other alternative. :shakehead

Honestly, if EASHL is in the game, if EASHL is more fluid in how the menus work and is the game as a whole feels much more smooth and responsive while looking much better than previous gen games, then I'm okay. But if EASHL is gone at all, I'm not playing it.

Ya I wonder on how the product would be improved if 2k was still making hockey and they had competition. Would be interesting to see how they would handle that.

Not sure what parts of the game you like, but if you enjoy building teams you should try EHM 2007. Its pretty much be a gm but you don't play the games, but I find its the best hockey game I've ever played. Download an updated roster and its so much fun and so addicting!

So why do you come here and talk **** about the game if you haven't it for the last couple of years and don't plan on getting it this year?

Dont think I'll pick this years up if they dont add some more depth/details to Be a GM. Things like being able to hire your own coaches, maybe having players come to you asking for a trade, no trade clauses, some teams (like Nashville, Ottawa) having a budget you ahve to work with, with the budget increasing if you do well etc etc.

Also another thing, I wonder if 2K is now looking into making a NHL game, with EA starting NBA live up. I sure hope so, so competition couldnt hurt.

Because he buys games that took a hell of a lot of effort to completely overhaul the graphics, render new and more accurate face models, update arenas, and put in a whole new announcer track? All while updating stats, overalls, potentials as usual? If you don't want the game, don't buy it but it's hard to refute that if you have a X1 or PS4 that this one is a must buy if you're into the series and have the means.

The NHL series is not as big of a seller as Madden and FIFA and it's asinine to expect that NHL gets as much attention or funding as those games get and, as as result, the team in Burnaby is much smaller. I personally think they did pretty well for updating everything and overhauling everything in a years time with what they had to work with. If you disagree, then fine but don't lambaste people for being excited for a game.

Or...because EA is the type of dirty game developer that takes out features to add them to the game in 5-7 years and tout them as "new"?

Let's face it: everything but gameplay has improved over the years for most EA Sports games. But the gameplay has not just remained stagnant. No, it's gotten WORSE. Madden, for example, is worse in the year 2014 than it was in 2004...

"best mode" to you. I couldn't care less that it isn't in the game personally, won't have even the slightest impact on my decision to buy or not.
