  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

The Giants should be adding Sanders to grow with Nabors

Taking Hunter and having these two deal with Russell Wilson is a good way for Dabol to get fired
Unless they’re rattled by the Daniel Jones debacle and want to build a solid team and add the QB once they find one they’re comfortable with. I’m not a Sanders believer. IF the Pats didn’t land Maye last season would you want them selecting him at 4 this season? I’d pass

Guessing it's all this year? Could even be some next season, will be interestng to the dead cap hits if needed

I bet it's basically the same deal as Davante Adams', just has a "real" 3rd year instead of a void year. $12M signing bonus. Year 1 salary fully guaranteed ($8M), Year 2 salary partially guaranteed (less than 50%), no guaranteed money in Year 3, so he's probably here 2 years.

There is a lot written they will take Hunter and trade back in to get a QB

then you explore trading 4 for someone hot for Sanders

Giants fans are going insane over Russ signing.

They all want Sanders. I wonder if that organization will seriously f*** up not picking him that much.

I need Hunter here!

I'm not sure that team exists.
Then I take Campbell or Warren or Jeanty or Walker

There is going to be really good players here

I’d take Campbell and have one of 5 OL positions fortified

He’s a tackle reading the folks I consider the brightest on this stuff, however, even if he was an elite G you fortify the interior with Campbell, Bradbury, Onwenu and Josh has a record of dealing with edge defenders

They will love Hunter and can come back in to first

Somehow it will work out well for us

Unfortunately the coach and GM only care about this year and their jobs. The funny thing is they still have garbage QBs and may still finish last in the division.

I kind of am but i am a glass half full guy
With Hunter and Carter off the board, their choices would be:

* Will Campbell, who may or may not be able to play LT at a high level. My guess is that he'd be better than Vederian Lowe, but something well short of a premier LT. I'm sure he'd be a great LG... but you typically don't need to use the 4th pick in the draft to find a really good guard.

* Armand Membou, who's athletic, but he's also a bit undersized, and he's exclusively played RT in college. No idea if he can play LT.

* Ashton Jeanty, who's really talented and really fun, but who would be wasted playing behind a pourous OL. Go watch his game against Penn State to see what he'd be like here.

* Tyler Warren, who'd damn near have to be Gronk reincarnated to be worth the 4th pick in the draft. I like him, but he's not Gronk.

* Mason Graham, who is not only nowhere near as big as he was listed while at Michigan, but he plays the same position as your two of your highest-paid players.

* Jaylon Walker, who might be too small to be an Edge, and doesn't seem to have the instincts to play off the ball.

Fantastic pod cast with former Chiefs OT Jake Long evaluating the OL

He looooooves Armand Membou

Listening to him (and host) talk about Dante Scarnecchia is amazing. He never played for Dante but apparently in the world of linemen this guy is a god.

If you are driving around or going for a walk this is a great podcast I think if you follow the draft will find interesting

I cannot see us taking Jeanty, we already have 2 RB's.
I like Warren and Graham, but with the signing or Milton Williams and if Barmore is back, we really to not need Graham.
Hard pass on Campbell, he will be a guard.
Walker will not go in the top 10.
Membou is too risky at 4, we need a for sure player that can play next year and be elite.
Best bet is to trade down with either Vegas or the Saints, get an extra second round pick and their first.
Take one of OT / TE or WR, best player available.

I actually think they're fine because if Sanders is there at 4 I believe they can trade back for a good package.
Two issues here.

1. What team is moving up to take him? The Raiders already went out and got a QB that they're trying to sign to an extension. Maybe New Orleans at #9, but I'm skeptical that they'd be looking to move up given their cap issues. Pittsburgh might be interested, but do you really want move all the way back to #21?

2. Even if a team like New Orleans was motivated to move up for Sanders, why would they spend extra draft capital to go to #4 when they know all they have to do is get ahead of the Jets at #7?

If they are forced to stay at 4 because nobody wants to trade up (let’s say teams don't actually like Sanders and Hunter + Carter are gone) my current preference order is:

1) Mason Graham- he has versatility to play all over the line in a 3-4, really dominant player short arms be damned. Unsurprising he is an accomplished wrestler too. Immediately fixes the run defense, something both Barmore and Williams have some question marks with

2) Membou/Campbell depending on who Scar best thinks could be a LT

3) Colston Loveland- not a good blocker but I like him as a weapon at the NFL level more than Warren.

Also I need Desmond Watson in my life. 6-6 464, 36 reps on the bench. 25 inch vertical at 464! My NT king! Sure, I’ll be absolutely terrified of him dying on the field his entire career but he’s a guy you need to double! Hilarious highlight reel. Ripping the ball from running backs like it’s nothing, holding QB up in the air to get the whistle

I don't really know how to to respond to this because you sort of made my case for me.

There are teams that will want Sanders.

If you bring in Desmond Watson, you wouldn't have to worry about the tush push being banned. Give him the ball and let physics happen.
