71 overall, New Orleans selects YaYa Diaby, EDGE, Louisville

The Saints lost Marcus Davenport, who wasn’t good anyways, and David Onyemata - who was - this year off a defense struggling to get a pass rush, so they will be required to draft someone in the first two days of the draft to help out and maybe force linemen to decide they need to get away with holding on Cameron Jordan, who isn’t getting younger.

72 overall, Tennessee selects Demarvion Overshown, LB, Texas

Everyone should expect Overshown to get drafted higher than this, so the Titans would be thrilled if he didn’t and give them a week 1 starter on a linebacker unit that desperately needs one.

With 82nd pick in the 2023 NFL Draft the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select ILB Noah Sewell, Oregon

With Devin White demanding a trade as contract negotiations go poorly it's a safe move to look for another ILB for the team. While it would be impossible to expect Sewell to step right into those shoes, Sewell's effectiveness in the run game and help blitzing in pass rush would help soften the blow. Lots of reports that he struggles in the pass game which might not sit well in the Bucs system which has traditionally valued pass coverage skills in LB's.

Seattle Seahawks (@Mrfenn92) are up!

89 overall, New York Giants select Tyjae Spears, RB, Tulane

The Giants do not appear to be willing to give Saquon Barkley a big contract, so he may play out the franchise tag and walk. Perfect spot for the Giants to try and get another running back in position a year from now. And even if they do sign Saquon, they can’t possibly think Matt Breida can continue in the RB2 role. If you intend to be a contender, you need 2 RB’s who are serious.

Spears had a huge Cotton Bowl to get on the national radar, however it was against USC, so he went to the senior bowl and people said he had a great week there, too.
