Caufield Suzuki Dadonov // 1st line Skills, scoring, playmaking. I feel Dadonov could be a good complement to them
Drouin Monahan Hoffman // redemption line trade deadline line : you've got a good mix of guys and they need to have good ice time to up they're value so we get something at the deadline
Anderson Dvorak Gallagher // intimidating gets the big match up
Slafkovsky Dach Armia // young developing line ( also a really big line )

Matheson Guhle
Edmunstun Barron
Harris Savard
Wideman

Allen
Montambault

My forward lines would probably be
1st - Anderson - Suzuki - Caufield
2.5 - Drouin - Dvorak - Dadonov
2.5 - Slafkovski - Dach - Gallagher
4th - Pitlick - Monahan - Hoffman

With Evans likely somewhere due to injuries or if Monahan/Drouin are in fact finished

For the start of the year, I would split up Suzuki and Caufield to benefit both Slaf and Dach, so my top 6 would be…

Slaf-Suzy-Dad
Cole-Dach-Andy

Our bottom 6 is such a mess right now lol. I didn’t want to post a bottom 6 as thinking about it gives me a headache. It will all be ironed out during camp, and, honestly, outside of Evans, I really don’t care about anyone…

Let's hope Dvo can get his trade value up. I also still like Pitlick in a bottom 6 role.

Lots can still happen before the beginning of the season. No way they keep all these forwards with NHL contracts.

I would like Habs to acquire Shattenkirk (a RHD) from the Ducks for one or two forwards.

I'd have Evans in the lineup over Drouin, Pitlick or Hoffman.
I like Evans more then those guys and I do expect Evans to be in the lineup most nights simply because there's always someone injured. And in the unlikely event that we are unrealistically healthy then he would certainly rotate into the lineup.

But at the end of the day, I'd rather spend the start of the season figuring out whether Hoffman/Pitlick can be top-6 players. Hoffman like most rebounded production wise under MSL, if he can be that 50-60 point top-6 winger it changes our approach. Same for Pitlick can he really produce like a top-6 guy or not. For Drouin it's more about showcasing and trying to get something at the deadline.

Too many forwards and 99% certain we won't have them all come beginning of season but I'll give it a stab. Ideally Dvo and another winger are moved but here's what we have now to start the season.

Anderson Suzuki Caufield
Drouin Dach Dadonov
Slaf/Hoffman Dvorak Gally
Pitlick Monahan Armia
Evans Pezzetta

Matheson Savard
Edmundson Barron
Harris Wideman
Schueneman

#Free Cole from Andy please…

Otherwise i’m not against a Dach/Cole duo. Maybe not at the start of the season though.

That is a darn weak defensive forwards. Who's gonna kill penalties in that bunch ?

Anyway, it is too early to make up lines. Two or three forwards have to be traded or put on waivers. And I am pretty sure Evans and-or Armia will be in the line up at Game One. We need also infos on Byron's health.

Suzuki, Dach are defensively pretty good and they forgot Evans, Slafkovsky can play on the PK too. With guys like Edmundson and Savard.

Like to see this workout.

Love 3 rookie D. these kids are defensively responsible now, so let them make mistakes & grow with the group.

Montreal
Drouin Monahan Hoffman // redemption line
Yep cant find a better definition for redemption lol
Odds that all three accomplish their redemption are microscopic though.
Usually you surround the guy you want to resurrect with accomplished players to drag him out of mediocrity and ease the slope, right?

Has Chara signed anywhere yet? I wonder if Gorton could bring him to MTL? He would be a great role model for the youngsters.

Someone on this board mentionned a rumour that Habs approached Chara to that effect. It would make sense but only if/once they know that Slaf will stay in the NHL all year.
