Blue Jays GDT: Next: vs Phi | Tue, Jun 3 | 7pm ET/4pm PT | Sanchez vs Francis

It's not hard to understand, it's just a dumb argument.

How do you think the other Wild Card contenders do when you take out their games against shitty teams?
Sorry, I didn't realize that after winning 4 games in a row against a garbage team, we are now only 1 game back of the last wild card spot. I should be super excited that our 240 million dollar team is almost good enough to get to a wild card. My bad.

And the Yankees got lit up by the Dodgers. Every team is flawed in this division/AL
The AL is terrible this year but using the best team in baseball as your gotcha is an odd take. We also beat the Padres what 12 0? The Rays beat the Astros 16 3 on Saturday and that same day the Brewers beat the Phillies 17 7. Those games happen and mean absolutely nothing aside from some pitchers having really bad days. Sorry and some hitters having really good ones.

No one is super excited about where the team stands right now. Some of us just seem to enjoy when the team plays well, but I guess that's not for everyone.

The Jays appear to catch a break; Zach Wheeler's wife is due any day now and it looks like he might miss the series entirely.

Sanchez/Abel/Luzardo instead now. It's not a season changing break, but still pretty nice to avoid a guy who will probably be in the convo for Cy Young.

Being disappointed when you don't get the satisfaction of wallowing in the misery you predicted for your team instead of cheering for them to do well is a weird way to be a sports fan.

We're 18-12 in our last 30 despite a thin rotation and our two big summer signings being awful/injured. Things are ... OK right now. It's a shame about the games Hoffman blew in May because we could be on a legit great run right now with a couple of those wins.

Yeah, and the Jays are top 5 vs LHP. Sanchez's changeup is disgusting but that sinker is very hittable, and Luzardo got absolutely torched in his last start

I missed the part where I said I don't enjoy us winning. My bad again. What I said was for a poster to temper his excitement when he started talking about us being a possible Cinderella story and the world series after we swept the A's.

See my above response

I don't think anyone expected him to repeat last year, but holy shit.
Worst part is they can't do anything about it. You're already down Scherzer and the farm is already stretched thin trying to fill that hole.

They need Turnbull to be up and ready in a hurry. Can't keep trotting Francis out there if he's going to keep shitting himself like he has been.

Everything else aside, have you actually looked at his numbers in Japan?
They look...fine, i guess? Feel like i should expect better from a guy who runs his mouth that much. But those look pretty average by NPB standards.

If only he could strike out the King of JUCO multiple times a game like he does in his video. Shame.

I could see them looking to see if they could get a few 4-5 inning appearances out of Paxton Schultz
