Comments on Nikishin starting at around 17 minutes. Futa really high on Nikishin...says Chara like, great shot, physical, good skater
sorry but we’re not allowed to compare him to HOF defensemen of yester year

makes sense to me:

What’s their definition of a star/true star?

Take Vegas in 2018, for example. They have them with only 1 true star player. But that team contained William Karlsson, Jonathan Marchessault, James Neal, Shea Theodore and Marc Andre Fleury. I could easily argue at least 3 of those are star players

So how many do we have now? Aho, Jarvis, and Slavin are no doubters. Svech was borderline but has taken a step back. Burns certainly was at some point in his career but not now. I honestly think he should count Staal and Nook as stars. They are not numbers guys but if there was a stat for how many times they have smothered other teams top lines help as much as scoring.

As meh as the last few games have been, Andersen certainly qualifies.

makes sense to me:

Define star player.

Because the last few years we were lambasted for not having any stars on the team (oomph, as it was put) but now this year we are also being lambasted for trading away our star player in Necas.

It's almost like that definition is subjective at best and usually just plays into whatever agenda someone is trying to push at that moment.

I choose to believe that superstar Glen Wesley was the key to the Stanley Cup.

I think you’re forgetting a certain defenseman…

Anaheim (06-07) seems WAY off as well. Giguere, Teemu, Nieds, and Pronger alone already break what they have listed for star players. Then add in Getz, Perry (Stars though early career), AMac, and Kunitz (star seasons)
