The Blues are going all in this season. I like their chances.

Really good return for the Sabres.

So can anybody give me a run down on this year's top prospects? I think this is about when we start discussing who we're gonna draft.

That Scrivens deal should be essentially what Anton gets. Same age, similar amount of NHL games, Scrivens with better numbers this year, Anton better numbers overall.

Chip with some updates:

Canes GM Jim Rutherford says Justin Faulk (upper-body injury) is likely out 10 days.

Rutherford said Faulk's injury is not a concussion.

Rutherford said discussions on new contract for Khudobin are underway but not sure if can be resolved by Wednesday trade deadline.

Rutherford said there have been many trade calls in past week from GMs but did not say which Canes players have drawn most interest.

Shoulder or ribs, I guess. All the better for our draft position.

I still feel that he's had some sort of issues since before the Olympics that has kept him from being 100%. Total speculation on my part, but his play was worse right before the Olympics..then Blysma doesn't even put him in as an extra D against Slovenia, then looks sluggish when he's back.

Again...speculation as I have no inside knowledge so I could be way off.

Myself included, will greatly appreciate a rundown for prospects so far this year.

Of course, the top 3 including the two Sam's and Ekblad will almost immediately help our team would be nice, but there are a few Euros as well. Wouldn't mind landing Nylander, Drainsaitl, or Kapenen.

Is this going to be an annual thing though?!?

Not a big fan of Nylander. I would prefer Dal Colle to anyone outside of the top 3.

Of course we are 7 points clear of the next team behind us....I can't wait for a late season run to pick up about 4-5 spots in the standings. This organ I zation is inept in every way possible.

After Ekblad, Reinhart, and Bennett I'd like Dal Colle or Draisaitl the most.

That being said...

I already ordered my Kapanen jersey.

I was reliving the cup run through watching the dvd the other night and I realized I don't even remember what it feels like to be in the playoffs. The suspense, excitement, being on the edge of your seat in an ot game, the sadness of losing a tight series. I've become some apathetic and just used to this team fizzling out and then looking forward to the draft. It's sad, really.
