What, did they expect him to come down the wing and snipe it pass the goalie?

Yeah, that sounds like Zach.

Jackets doing something right, Devils lost to the Canes and I had a decent day in work. Seems like everything is all mixed up today

Kekäläinen's resumé is pretty good.

That's pretty much the first NHL related piece that ESPN had on their front page this season. The drama they report and the contreversy they try to start is the exact reason why I do not watch/read much ESPN anymore. Practically all of their top broadcasters, writers, and reporters leave the network sooner than later for better jobs. ESPN is garbage.

I lived in Chicago then too. It was amazing how fast things changed.
All it took was Wirtz's death, and the franchise completely turned around. The guy was a menace.

Now I'm in Columbus, and it'll be interesting to watch and see if Columbus can go on to win the Cup in my time here too after this. It wouldn't shock if they are lifting the cup in 5-6 years.

Karlsson hurt... hopefully it's nothing serious

awkward hockey play, didn't look intentional

Update on Karlsson: Erik suffered a laceration to his left achilles, which will require surgery to repair. He will be out indefinitely.

That's rough for the Sens.

Bob McKenzie: Worst possible news for Senators. Karlsson suffered lacerated Achilles tendon. Surgery required.

I feel really bad for Sens fans right now. Karlsson was the best thing that had happened to that team in a long time.

So the Sens think Cooke injured Karlsson on purpose. I'm watching the game... Neil just went after Cooke and mugged him.

I still don't get why JD left St. Louis or they didn't want him anymore. I suppose new ownership wanted their own guy but still, you'd think they'd want to keep around a guy that overhauled their whole team in a few years and made them one of the top teams in the West.

no way that was intentional, any of you that have played hockey know that was an accident, it was careless of Cooke to have his foot that far off the ground but it isn't easy to stay on balance when your in a board battle

Man, that really sucks about Karlsson. I was really looking forward to seeing what he could do this year. Condolences to Sens fans.

I don't think Cooke intentionally stomped, but the guy is totally wreckless. It was avoidable. I can't wait until he's gone from the league.

There is something weird about the way Cooke lifted his foot and put it back down. I am not jumping to intentional yet, but there is something weird about the play.

...And can't be the guy on offense. 1pt in his last 8 after a hot start.

Suter has been mediocre at best and Parise is cooling off. Will be interesting to see when the fans turn...

Depends how you define turn...they were already booing the Wild after every period in their recent game against the Canucks.

That is correct.

Hossa, Spezza, Vermette, Emery, Backes, Polak, Perron, Oshie, Berglund and Pietrangelo are all his draft picks.

That's a pretty good track record. I am very interested to see how he does as a GM.

It will happen eventually. There's no way he could keep up a high level of play throughout the whole contract. Like you, though, I think it will be sooner rather than later.

At least they weren't booing the PP. That'd really drive #11 up a wall....haha

But I'm specifically referring to ZP. The honeymoon phase is still there but it'll be interesting to see when they get fed up with him.
