just waiting for the years go by and start to hear the wild fans wanting to get rid of little zach and get someone bigger to replace him. As i have been saying ever since 2010 loss to the flyers, zach is too small to carry a team. Prongerlike player can shut him down 100%. Good riddance, sucks that we didnt get anything in return.

Yea his size really has been the only knock against him. He made up for it with sheer determination and the willingness to fight to the net anyway, but over the course of a series against guys who are 6'4 230 lbs a little guy can get ground down. While I still miss Parise, from a physical standpoint we really needed to get bigger.

I don't think his size has much to do with it. My issue with Parise was always that he's not a gamechanger. In the regular season he looks great because he outworks everyone. In the playoffs when everyone on the ice is working their ass off, he's not nearly as effective or impressive. I think that's the main reason why his production tends to drop off in the postseason.

wait so some people wouldnt want crosby or malkin on the devils, right?

right?

i mean cmon, itll never happen anyway. but if lou ever signed geno, and with our relatively 'cheap'/awesome defense (including prospects)...we would be a machine.

put it this way- we get geno, and you can play kovy on RW for the rest of his life and i'll shut up. those 2 on a line with a defensivly aware winger=heavengasm

Like I said previously, Geno would cost us the equivalent of Tallinder and Volchenkov's salary. One of them is a healthy scratch and the other, well, he's nothing to write home about.

That right there would cover Malkin's salary, roughly around 7M$/7.5M$ per, wich would be fine by me. Bring in one of our kids to compensate for the loss of Volchenkov, like Urbom or Gélinas, and we'd have a ****ing solid team for years to come.

I mean alot can happen in the spand of two years, but let's say we resign our pending UFA's, we can probably dress a lineup that would like...

Is Darche still following the team around? He was probably hoping little Gionta is bruised up and needed a few days rest.

If Zubrus goes to LTIR we're gonna need another player on the roster at forward. Could be Darche, could be Loktionov, and there's a slightly possible chance of Janssen. Though I think the last one isn't a good possibility. It's more of a nightmare!

The fact that anyone has a name identifying themselves as Colonials is laughable considering the highest level is Midget AA. I didn't need to read anymore than that.

Or he could be a Western Connecticut State University hockey fan! There's nothing but Rangers fans around here.
