Laine is cleared to leave the player assistance program, which means now he can be traded.

So, do you all want to start a pool on what day the trade to CAR will be announced?

My guess is Waddell wants to move on from the dead wood of Kookalooka’s terrible moves that have put the organization in the state it’s in. Probably before the start of the season vs really seeing what Laine does.

Whatever Laine does post-CBJ, who cares? CBJ needs to move on and forward.

Leafs Stripping Pajamas of the C and giving it to Matthews lmao

Amazing.

Guy would have had a statue outside of UBS.

Matthews to Tavares when he sees him in training camp….

Our old captain stripped of his C.

There was something always fishy about the timing of Matthew’s mooning story getting leaked to the press during the summer of ‘who should be captain’ - can’t give it to the guy who mooned a security guard…

John Tavares might be the most overrated player in NHL history

No 100 point seasons, no awards other than 2 Hart finalist appearance and losing the Art Ross by 1 point, only 2 playoff series wins (Yes he did in fact end two teams playoff series win droughts but so what) and to top it all of

THE NEW YORK ISLANDERS HAVE WON JUST AS MANY PLAYOFF SERIES IN TORONTO (more if you want to count the play-in) AS HE HAS WON IN HIS ENTIRE CAREER

Ay man it is the offseason and all hockey fans are allowed to have their opinion on Tavares being stripped of the C including us islanders fans

And I stated my opinion and it really isn't an opinion but rather an objectively true statement

And it would be nice for the Leafs fans who kept telling us how wrong/jealous we were when we pointed out his leadership flaws would admit we weren't blowing smoke up their butts . . .

Sam Rosen announced his retirement. What are the odds that MSG moves Brendan over to the Rangers broadcast? It's been done before...
Nah, we had spies who saw Brendan at a nightspot in Montauk with Malkin and Ledecky. No way is he going to the NYR.
