The ‘after the trade deadline’ superstars: the buffalo sabres.

What a fun ride that must be year after year.
 
BTW I’m at BC (#1) vs. my alma mater Quinnipiac (#9) in Providence, they are playing for a spot in the Frozen Four.

Highly sought after college UFA Collin Graf from QU gives me Evan Rodrigues vibes. Ryan Leonard from BC (WSH draft pick) is going to wreak havoc alongside Tom Wilson.

Cutter Gauthier is a big, but I get the sense that he is a bum and not a winner. Gabe Perreault (NYR draft pick) is a cherry picking slug who can only play in the o-zone.

QU is extremely well coached and suffocating, the only goals they have given up have been on the PP.

They remind of Our NY Islanders when they are playing at their best, which is sadly not often.

BC has like 14 draft picks on that team. They steamrolled through hockey east

Absolutely, they are star studded. But the biggest thing I’ve noticed is that they haven’t been able to check with QU.

We see this in the NHL playoffs…you can have all the skill in the world but if you can’t check you’re basically relying on converting on opportunities that come few and far between.

And just like that, BC’s skill converts on a single chance…

Q put on a master class in defense in the third, except for that turnover with 5 to go.

Too bad Tampa and Toronto aren’t closer in the standings. Would have made tonight’s game a little more interesting

I dunno, I’m on the record saying Florida screwed with the team too much at the TDL, and recent results may show that. However they might very well get their shit together too within the next 2 weeks and when the playoffs start

I think they're just going to be such a pain in the ass it'll be taxing even if you get by them.

I agree. He's more of a flash in the pan situation right now. I don't think he'll be effective long term.

Another fight just happened in the Rags Devils game after a nasty boarding on Smith by Cuylle.

That was awesome. Only thing would have been better if goalies got involved. Hate the Devils too but good for them for standing up to those loser goons Trouba and Rempe after the last time they faced them.
