when the rangers trade for a forward it needs to be someone thats a very good skater. were so slow outside of a few players. bonino and goodrow are basically penalty killers that make 5 on 5 situations a penalty kill. losing chytil obv exasperated the team speed problem since he is a very quick and powerful skater through the neutral zone.

The Mika vegan schtick was obviously just an HF in-joke but, boy has it fit more and more each year. He was never a real big hitter but 3-4 years ago he looked like prime Ovie-lite. Big guy, good speed, knew how to use the body, shot was on point and he was tenacious. That player is completely gone. He is a finesse softy with a great shot that runs hot and cold. He was a beast, now he’s a lamb.
