What is the rush? It's not like we're sitting someone like Kaprizov here. Kravtsov will get in soon and play 15ish games to end the year. Are you seriously going to be mad if he plays 15 games instead of 17?

If he doesnt play 1 of those 15 today, yes. He could play today and sit rest of the season and id be content. I demand a viewing of the shiny toy.

no, but what if it is 10 games? No time like the present; bigger sample is better.
 
If anyone thought Kravtsov was gonna jump off a plane and onto the 3rd line wasn't living in reality, the were always gonna have him practice with them for a spell and let him get used to the speed and get in shape, learn the system and get familiar with linemates, to throw him into the lineup isn't fair to him, i like this approach

This just gave me a tremendous idea. I bet that if you had a wind sail/parachute on a windy day, you could use the force of it to pull you down a frozen canal/lake on skates without having to use any effort.

Call it skate sailing

And why would he be handled that way? For his development? So as not to hurt the team? If the answer is to ensure he enters the lineup with confidence, I can live with it if not agreeing with it. If it so as not to hurt the team's chances to win, don't give a crap. The organization should want the biggest sample possible to evaluate his progress and future before heading into this offseason.

Shouldn't he already be in shape - he just came from the KHL.

Maybe they want to get him more practices - that would be an acceptable reason to hold him out.

But if they are holding him out because "we can't play Gauthier on the fourth line," that is just silly imo. Our fourth line is nothing special. It's not some defensive/possession monster.

And if they are holding him out because "we don't want to bench Gauthier," well that too is questionable. They were perfectly happy to bench Gauthier to get Howden in the lineup.

Buch would be a huge push over the edge for Colorado especially. And Buch would be one helluva player to attach to Byfield next year..

I'd be a big fan if we can get Newhook - I'm also a tad biased, he's from where I grew up. :)

But I think us obtaining him is highly unlikely IMO.
