MSG now uses dynamic pricing on all its sales. So a ticket that was $250 sth price was $290 for initial release to the public and was subsequently raised to $390 and $490 as secondary market prices soared. These numbers are legitimate face value prices even if they are twice the price as the sth paid
Interesting. That ticket was $190/$195 STH price. Anyway, get in price for tonight on Stubhub inclusive of fees is sub $300 & for better seats right around that $300 mark. STH take hits on tickets all the time, it's part of life if you buy tickets to the Rangers. And this forum is not to try and get lucky by making a dope out of someone to recoup costs. It's to offer tickets at fair prices so that fellow fans can save on fees.

Anytime I sell on here I always check other sites for pricing and then sell them without fees here. So for example if I list a ticket for $100 on Stubhub, but the post fee funds that gets to me is $75, I'll sell that ticket here for $75. It's how this community should work. It doesn't mean I never sell above face on here, of course I will, but I use the same method and offer the post fee net to the buyer.

Also, there's 2 Lounge Seats for sale right now at $275 post fees on Stubhub. Cool chance to sit in there if you can swing it.

My guess is that you purchased verified resale via TM and that's why they were so high, which would not be the face value, but the resale value. I have a full strip on the other side, same price level & my face was roughly $195. If the Rangers are charging a 100% markup to individual purchasers that's news to me.
Not necessarily. My STH seats for game 1 are $290 each but on ticketmaster you can see the rangers selling seats in the same location for $650.

Yea, another guy explained that earlier in the thread. I hadn't realized they'd moved to surge pricing. Anyway, I think the point still stands about trying to rip people off when literally with fees included on resale sites he was charging way over the value of the ticket at that point.

I think for regular season we sell for what we paid and can add paypal fees or whatever. There really isn't such a thing as "face value" regardless what the screnshot said though I'm not sure how much that matters anymore in a world without paper tickets. I don't know what the rules for playoffs are, especially in the ECF and (hopefully) the cup finals. The tickets are too expensive to go to every game (at least for me).

So TicketBa$tard has "face value" "not resale" game 1 section 420 row 6 for $400 per ticket. Two tickets plus fees would cost me $950. F that.

Non-resale tickets on ticketmaster is MSG pricing though not sure how much say the NHL has on ticket prices in the playoffs .

There’s a lot more inventory available for SCF than I thought there would be and I thought prices would be jacked up more too though dynamic pricing will handle anything that trickles out in coming weeks. I remember in 2014 you couldn’t even pull a pair for the SCF. I’m assuming it’s due to the fact we haven’t even gotten there yet plus less plan holders than 2014 but pretty crazy there was even anything out there for potential clinchers.
