Nope, im not confusing that I know what a 1-2-2 forecheck is. To be honest, I'm not really paying close attention to the forecheck, but if they were doing a 1-2-2 and they were doing it correctly (I guess that's a pretty key word because theyre probably doing it wrong) there would be little to no odd man rushes off of the Capitals breakout unless we had controlled possession in their zone before they broke out.

That hasn't been the case unfortunately.

Dude, they are doing a 1-2-2. You got one guy deep and another ranger forward covering the board outlet. The other Ranger is covering the middle of the wide lanes. 1-2-2 doesn't necessarily mean trap.
