“@AGrossRecord: Rick Nash, 0 shots through 60 minutes.”

“@AGrossRecord: Ryan Callahan 0 shots through 60 minutes.”

I know its the playoffs. I know the Caps are a good team. I know momentum is supposed to shift back and forth, but this teams inability to show SOME moxie in every single period is maddening.

Every time Hank plays his best the offense takes a night off. Maybe it's a handicap for Hotlby in the shots department.

Yes, please.
We do not have last year's deep forecheck and will not get that level of commitment back.

I agree, the weak 1-2-2 is not going to work if we are running lock. Rangers should either be more aggressive on the forecheck or start trapping in the neutral zone.

Problem is that Rangers start trapping with Boyle on every other shift, we aren't going to finish many chances on the counter attack.

it is a 1-2-2. Rangers are sending one man in deep and they don't commit unless a Dman gets into trouble.

Your confusing our Dmen pinching on the cycle. I'm talking establishing the forecheck.

Nope, im not confusing that I know what a 1-2-2 forecheck is. To be honest, I'm not really paying close attention to the forecheck, but if they were doing a 1-2-2 and they were doing it correctly (I guess that's a pretty key word because theyre probably doing it wrong) there would be little to no odd man rushes off of the Capitals breakout unless we had controlled possession in their zone before they broke out.

That hasn't been the case unfortunately.

The confidence with the puck the Rangers showed in the first period is gone. They'll need a garbage goal to win this game.

I have seen multiple Rangers forwards showing tired legs in the last 2 periods. I hope they get their jump back for OT.
