Ovi and Nick aside I wouldn't trade any of our core players for any Capital player.

Our core players being who? I'd probably trade Mcdonagh for Carlson (with an extension) right now. Buchnevich doesnt see the ice. Zuc is turning 30 and has been wildly inconsistent this year. Miller and Hayes are the definition of wildcards, and I'd trade either for kuznetsov in a heartbeat.

I vent and curse on these PGTs but people go so completely and utterly over the top. Worst team in the Metro? Seriously? Carolina says hello.

Rangers played hard tonight, played much better then last night. Coach put out a lineup that played their butts off. Anyone putting down his lineup shouldn’t be allowed to watch them play. They played the team with the best record in the West, on the second end of a back to back when the other team was rested, on the road and lost 2-1. With the backup goalie and no Hayes most of the game. No one to blame, the other team gets paid also. Point would have been nice.

Who could have guessed relying on the goaltending to stand on their heads every game would be boring to watch. It's like a worse version of the Tortorella teams.
At least Torts' teams had a system. They played with puck support as well, something AV apparently refuses to let his teams do. The reason we were good in AV's first year was because we still had the Torts influence and a little AV influence. Now it's 100% AV and this is what we have. The system is literally pond hockey while hoping Henrik/Pavs stand on their heads against far too many high danger chances.

Playing Buchnevich wouldn't have made them play less hard but it might have gotten them a chance to score more than 1 goal.

Is this a joke?

All five Rangers are back, he's playing the man with the puck to the outside. You're acting like he got burned and that man scored. He kept him to the outside, the player made a good pass which would've been blocked and picked off if Skjei or Nieves were where they were supposed to be.

No, it's not a joke.
Shattenkirk was right in his face at the blue line and HAS to stop him.

I'd love to see a gif if anyone could provide one..

With 1:59 to go....Arneil draws up the play....when they get in the offensive zone, 5 players go right to the boards....is that what he drew up? For us, it seems like the offensive zone is where centering passes go to die of loneliness.

Kreider would go to the front occasionally....but NO ONE ELSE DOES. You cant score every single goal on the rush.

Also, can someone tell me when the last time one of our defenseman took a slap shot? All I see is those pretty little wristers that need a relay man to get to the net.

Really not a bad game considering the circumstances. I thought they played hard.
I agree, Vegas is a better team. And we're on the road in a diff time zone, back to back games, obviously not an ideal situation to be playing against a great team at home with the best home record in the league..

We must have watched different games. AV iced the least talented roster since the 04-05 lockout. Outside of the goalie, I don't think anybody on the team played better than "ok".

Other then Shattenkirk none of the D can shoot. Is why they got Shattenkirk. Very weak shots from the point.

And lost 2-1. And outshot Vegas in the third. Some of you act like they’re some ultra talented team. You played a team having a better season, a well rested team in their place. Beating them would have been a very big deal. They’re like 13-1 in their last 14 and that was a 2-1 loss in St. Louis. You go into their building where they never lose with the backup goalie, Zuccarello coming off the flu, then lose Hayes. Asking a lot to win that game.

Common sense is not allowed on this board. Didn't you get the message.

The bottom line is this. They played like they were half dead in Arizona and only won cause of Lundqvist. The coach saw that and changed things up and at the end of the day the team played a better game vs. a far superior team then the night before. That’s good coaching. I don’t know exactly when Buchnevich became some star player. The fact is he hasn’t played great for weeks and giving him a night off wasn’t the end of the world some wanted to make it.

Here ya go.
Now you can tell me where #22 is supposed to be..
