Dolan is like that one kid who tries to act like your friend and only comes around when you have Lunchables.

Still not happy about this win.

Happy we won, but the PP was atrocious again. They squandered another multi goal lead. They got kind of lucky this time. You can't keep taking periods off, especially against the Penguins.

I will say that Stralman-Staal has been our best pair the whole playoffs which is huge when you have this top heavy team in Pittsburgh.

If we loose the next one, this win don't matter that much...

Normally I would agree with you, but given the tight schedule for the Rangers any win in the first 3 is huge. They are going to run into a wall and drop one at some point, the more wins they can chalk up before that the better. They could have easily blinked and been down 3-0 in the series.

Someone just doesn't get it.

I get it more then most people here. Look, after nearly 35 of my almost 40 years watching this team and suffering year after year sans 94' I don't get overly optimistic about anything.

Good game, we won. enjoy tonight, look ahead to Sunday and do it all over again.

I think he actually elevates his game in the post season and thrives under pressure. He has been huge for us so far. In 11-12 post season he was our best forward. So far, in 13-14, whether or not he has been our best forward is up for debate, but he's certainly been one of our top-3 forwards, and leads our team in post season points for the second time in three years.

There are times where I really do wish that we didn't have to buy him out, if only Sather didn't sign him for that long, because he is a quality player that brings it when it matters most.

The whole thing still pisses me off. We sign him to a contract which was legal under the CBA at the time and then it turns into: you can either buy him out this year or next or suffer a huge cap penalty. Absolutely stupid, if another GM is happy enough with Richard's contract to trade for it, then there should be no repercussion for the Rangers down the line

Anyone else see the Kreider name tag in the locker room behind Pouliot when they were interviewing him?

47 and just as long. Doesn't mean Lundqvist doesn't deserve a little love for tonight and that '93-94 team was manned a little better than this one. You can be a great player on a team and not win. Ask Shane Doan, Dan Marino, etc...

At this point buying him out is probably more about being able to afford to keep guys like Zuccarello, Strahlman, Pouliot, Boyle and Moore.
