A meteor will crash through the rink, knock the puck into the sky on Rick Nash's stick who will then score on a PP breakaway.

Anyone recall Hanks last minute stops on Finland in the 2006 Olympic final? On Sundin, I believe. Insane post to post strech, low right side blocker stop on a one time,.

If he could get into that kind of a zone again ...

Why was his teammate trying to score on him?

Again, not directly. Agree that was a **** call, though.

It was I'm not even arguing that. They need to change that rule to make it reviewable. My point was it just goes both ways that's all. Regardless they need to be way better they reverted back to their old ways of prevent defense

That's what I'm saying. His decision making has been awful. He was great in the postseason the past 2 years, but this year something happened. My best guess is that he's not used to missing games and those missed games through something off and he's having a hard time recovering.

If he is still hurting then that could effect everything else. Any loss of focus at this level can change your entire game.

I don't see the big deal really. We are still in the game. Hank is fine, the refs are quite fine, and the commentary kind of blurs out of your mind after some time.

Just take a wee, grab a beer and enjoy OT hockey.

Q: Why did the Post Office recall their latest stamps?

A: They had pictures of Penguins players on them and people couldn't figure out which side to spit on.

Missing a whopping five games shouldn't throw a player that off.

I don't know why everyone is just ruling out the fact he might just be playing poorly.

As if McDonagh is immune to poor play. Everyone is saying its his injury to reassure themselves that he just cannot be possibly playing this poorly.

It's possible he is hurting, or he is in a genuine slump, or a combination of both.

But his hockey IQ has not been there. Too many brain dead plays for a mild shoulder sprain. And that's all it can be. If it was anything serious like a significant tear in the labrum/rotator cuff he would be an idiot to be playing.

Yeah - Henrik had a .926 save % that game. He's only at .943 this game. Wait...

I honestly wouldn't mind seeing some sort of line changes between the Richards and Stepan lines. Richards has arguably been one of the better forwards and should be rewarded as such.

I haven't really paid a ton of attention to this, but there was one instance in the 3rd at the Pens blueline where McDonagh went to spin/turn around to avoid a Penguin and it took him a solid 5 seconds to complete the turn. Lower-body?

I'm not sure. When people first started speculating that something was wrong with him, it looked to me like he was very reluctant to shoot the puck. He was passing up good chances to take shots when he had room, instead trying to take it deep down the boards and dish off a pass. So I was guessing something with his wrist, arm or shoulder but who knows now? Could be lower body.

Vigneault knows he's not effective enough at this point to play his usual minutes. Staal played more minutes than McDonagh did last game and so far tonight it's the same thing.

What's the record for consecutive failed power plays in the playoffs? Rangers can't be far from it.
