Post-Game Talk: New York Rangers at Philadelphia Flyers |Game 6| 4/29/14

Lousy effort for most of the game. Pouliot's selfish momentum-changing penalty totally impacted the flow of the game, the Rangers were playing well before that. Shame on him and shame on the rest of the team for not having the resiliency to recover from it.
 
The BIG question? Does Rick Nash play his best playoff game this series tomorrow?

He NEEDS to be this teams best player on the ice. ONE time. Not a lot to ask for. He has 1 goals in 18 playoff games with us. I want to see him take over a SINGLE playoff game in his tenure here.

We've had both Richards and St. Louis take over games this series. It's time for Nash to step up and be a game breaker. I don't care if he gets a secondary assist or gets good chances, I want to see him put up a 2 goal night.
 
On to tomorrow. Gonna reign it in for now, if they lose tomorrow there will be an impressive tirade coming.

Talbot playing the 3rd period of an elimination game is pretty much all there is to know about the effort tonight. Sickening.

In fairness, Talbot didn't even have a chance to suck. Only good shot was a breakaway that hit the post. Pretty much just stood in net the rest of the game, watching Mason steal the show.

And I agree, Boyle did not completely suck. He won a fight (for the first time I can remember) and had a goal disallowed. Better than most.
 
I turned the game off.... Can anyone tell me what transpired between Simmonds & Zuccarello?
 
Lots of bad puck luck. Dumbass penalty from Pouliot at a dumbass time, but that's a cop-out. Five stars on our team: McDonagh, Lundqvist, Girardi, Nash and MSL. None of them made any positive impact on the game at any point - Hank must have made a good save or two, I think MSL might have set up Stepan once. Still, even just in a single game, we need to get more out of the big names.
 
Hey remember way back when you could watch a game and be confident Lundqvist was going to stop that point shot or breakaway or tip in front and our biggest problem was scoring more than 1 goal? That was cool.
 
While Lundqvist is not to blame tonight, Mason has completely outplayed him throughout the series. That's a fact.

Had the Rangers scored an early goal, and they deserved an early goal for the way they came out, the result could have been a lot different. Difference = Mason.

Then the call and the PPG against, game over.

The only person happier than the functional illiterates in Philadelphia tonight is Doc Emrick. His call may have been the most biased national broadcast in the history of sports.

All we really need to know about Rick Nash is that he thought he played well in the playoffs last year. That's how clueless the guy is. I would trade him for a bag of pucks at this point.
 
Seemed like the only guy who played with an edge was Zuc...Nash has got to start scoring, Hank has to be better along with Step and MSL, if not, the Rangers are done.

Zucc scored on a one timer from poo behind the net. went into corner celebrating and simmonds got in his face. Simmonds Out with a game misconduct.
 
Pouliot's penalties have been a killer.

My god that power play has dissipated
