The Rangers showed absolutely no urgency until the Parise goal. I just don't understand how a guy can stand in front of the net for a half hour. It reminded me of when I play NHL video games and my hands get tired and I let an opposing player by hoping the goalie makes the save.

I mean we could've handed a 29 year old 3rd line grinder, who spends a solid part of the season on the IR, a blank check. But no our GM had to trade for the leading scorer over the past 5 years. What a ****ing joke!

You can repeat that as often as you like. It won't make it true. It's so untrue, we've actually spent some amount of time using it as a joke.

Lackadaisical team is lackadaisical.

Two things:

1. For a supposedly pissed off team coming off a bad loss and a closed door meeting, having only 4 hits in the first period doesn't really sound promising. Duguay brought it up in the intermission, start hitting guys to hurt or at least knock them down for goddsake's.

2. Also, there's a pretty obvious distinction between what happened on the second Wild goal versus what happened on that last scramble in front of the Wild net at the end of the game that didn't end up a goal for the Rangers. 4 or 5 Wild players in and around the crease without a single blueshirt, compared to the image of HAgelin and Nash standing futilely behind the Wild forward trying to daintily poke their sticks through or around the opposing player to pull out the puck.

And man, that blind, backwards giveaway into the Wild zone by Stepan that turned right around into a Wild goal... Come on man, right after you finally did something good!

The ref blew the whistle early on that last play. The puck was still loose and the Rangers might have been able to put the loose puck in. Brassard with so many missed opportunities. He is such an inconsistent shooter.

The offensive "stars" on this team don't play like stars. It's sad really. I'm really sick of Nash and Richards. Nash indeed is the most overrated "star" in this league. When we first acquired him, he was playing amazing. Great dangles, passes, shots, everything. He's done nothing this year outside of that one stretch when he had goals in like 9 consecutive games.

Once again this team is awful in third periods. With the exception of that three weeks around New Years to the Stadium Series games, this team has lost at least 5-6 games when they were tied going into the third.

Too soft, not enough youth, and the top six in inconsistent.

Richards is done, he needs to go. Nash is invisible most of the time.

They don't shoot which has been going on since the Jagr days.

MSL looks like Bobby Carpenter.

And for those that don't think picks are important, look at Kemper. 6th rounder. Ondrej Palat, late round pick.

Markus Granlund one of the picks the Rangers gave away in the Erixon trade, looks to be a player.

You don't give away picks for free, ever!!!!

I'm usually willing to stick up for Nash because of how good he was last year, but after games like this I'm just at a loss. Only positives for me were Kreider and Talbot. Thought the fourth line played well. Maybe I'm crazy, but after watching Dom Moore in the offensive zone tonight, I'd rather try him at center between St. Louis and Kreider...Richards looks like the Richards of last season at this point.

What upsets me more than anything, though, is Nash's post-game demeanor. He just nonchalantly brushes off this game, regurgitating the usual, "take it one game at a time." There's no expression of concern or urgency; there's no annoyance with having lost (again). Disappointing and unprofessional response.

I mean .4 seconds isn't much and it was on the side of/behind the net

Minnesota had four really great chances, and scored on two of them.

I fail to see the relevance. It's not like the Rangers killed themselves keeping this defensive, trapping team from creating chances.Their effort level was not what it needs to be. They looked lazy and/or uninspired for great parts of the game.

I'm not usually one to go crazy with anger after losses, but that game I just watched was not up to scratch if they are going to make the playoffs, let alone be able to win a series.

So glad we had that Olympic break. As i feared, it killed all our momentum

That puck that found him all alone in the slot and he shoot it right into Keumper's chest. He released it before Kuemper even saw him release it, if he shoots for a corner, that's a goal. And St. Louis gets him the puck with a few seconds left in tight and he tries to force a pass...just shoot the puck man

I'd actually say that response was TOO professional, and therein might lie the problem. An unprofessional response is cursing to the media, breaking furniture, throwing teammates under the bus, etc. It's not that we want to see that level of craziness - we just want to see urgency.

Have you ever seen emotion out of that oaf?

This game also had the personality of a stop and chat with a coworker. Not enough energy.

This isn't a good team. The fact that they added all of this "depth" for the playoffs is a joke.

There is a very strong possibility they miss.
