Where are those damn columbs when you need them?

BTW, Richards TOI tonight 9:07. Tell me that Sutter still trusts this guy.

10 seconds left and the Kings are goofing around behind the net, lol. This is such a miserable team to watch right now. I don't see how this season can turn around. Dean has to make a big move to fix our D and get some hungry players back in that room. As of right now, it looks bad.

When is Lombardi going to realize that this defense just isn't cutting it out? If we ****ing re-sign Jarrett Stoll, I'm going to absolutely lose my ****. It's time for him to go. It was time for Matt Greene to go too, but you know, LEADERSHIP! CHARACTER! can't teach those things!

Probably no top 4 D out there that aren't going to cost the Kings a Toffoli.

None of us can say that the Kings didn't get what they deserved.

I wonder when Lombardi realizes he needs to cut his losses and swallow his pride and get rid of the guy?

Not that I'm faulting him for any misfortunes, but his inability to perform isn't helping things and is handcuffing his coaching staff.

The Kings had Talbot on the ropes in the first, could never get that 3rd to chase him. Attrocious start and finish in the 2nd. PK was road bad.

I'm not trying to jump off a cliff here, but the Kings really need to take a look at some of their veteran "leaders" this offseason. Richards, Stoll, and Greene have provided nothing positive to the team this season. Even caused more negatives than positives.

These guys can be replaced from within the organization even. Shore can replace Stoll, Greene could be traded for a pick and cap relief and be replaced by Forbort. Richards probably still has some trade value to a team like Edmonton.

You have to be realistic about these things, how many top 4 defensemen are available to trade for right now? Maybe one or two at the most? Are they even a good fit? And the price is gonna be outrageous, you just know the first thing they're asking for is Pearson or Toffoli.

Whatever, lost to an eastern conference team. At least we didn't give up any points to a team that matters to us and the Sharks/Wild/Jets/Nucks all lost tonight too. But it's hard to be optimistic when we have 5 wins in our last 15 games. Wow. But as always, just gotta stick with it and hope they turn it around soon.

The Kings really are carrying quite a bit of deadweight on the bottom lines. Nolan has played his way into a pressbox by doing nothing, Clifford is getting to that point, Richards, Andreoff is probably too soon to lump into that category but he hasn't done anything to standout whenever he's been in the lineup.

They need some new blood in the lineup. Get Shore, O'Neill and Weal in there!

Yeah, I would hope Sutter would rather give Shore a shot on the 2nd PP over Stoll.

Stoll hasn't been re-signed yet. The Greene contract is awful, no defending that, I assume Dean was worried about losing Mitchell this past summer and RR the next summer and didn't want to lose Greene as well.

Dean's biggest mistakes have been the Brown extension and not buying out Richards, which ultimately cost the Kings the ability to sign Mitchell. You just can't justify either move, especially the Richards one, it was blind loyalty to a fault.

Still overall, Dean has had much more hits than misses since 2012. Hard to be critical of his results the past couple of years, he will right this ship.

The Kings biggest problem isn't the injuries, it's not Voynov, it's not puck luck...it's not any of that. Not saying those aren't factors but they aren't the biggest problem. It's complacency. Corsi be damned. They start too complacent and a lot of times when they get a lead they become too complacent. That's what that whole 2nd period was about.

When a team can play with so many moments of brilliance when there's a sense of urgency as they have, followed by so much lackluster play, you can't reasonably tell me that they aren't capable of winning a lot of these games they've lost. They've been able to get away with it but when you pair that complacency with the injuries, Voynov, aging vets, and perhaps puck luck, they simply can't afford to be so complacent and expect to get back to the Stanley Cup, or even close. Other teams have been making moves to improve while the Kings have been trying to do little more than stand still and while doing so they've actually regressed due to age, injuries and the Voynov situation. They can't do much about aging vets, injuries, o Voynov, but they damn sure can do something about the complacency.

At least they're still in a playoff spot. Barely.
