Us southern dwellers have to look out for each otherI didn't know that. Thank you sir!
Bullshit. I hope that camp is the worst plight they face all year.I hope they are not exhausted before the season start, because it looks like the intensity is near the roof level in the first two days of the camp.![]()
Don't think we're in the clear yet though. Concussion symptoms may not show up for a few days.
Amanda butchered Georgiev's name in that vid, are hard G's that hard to grasp?
When i woke up from a coma (3 weeks after i was in a car crash), i had a monstrous concussion. I couldn't even remember my own birthday, but for some twisted reason, i did remember my bank account number (12 digits). The first concussion test they always give Mika is to spell his own last name. If he gets more than three letters wrong, they know there's a problem.

Thanx for thatThat's terrifying! I hope you are fully recovered. Concussions have got to be one of the scariest injuries that anyone can suffer. They are tricky to diagnose and treat, and often have lingering effects for years after.

Have to admit, I really enjoyed the Prentiss series on fitness and how they're using data to drive athletic conditioning. Super impressed by it.
I mentioned it before, teams have different advanced metrics than what's publicly available. One of the trends you'll see going forward is a focus on controlled carries... not just the amount, but by also who.
Guys with speed and low center of gravity. It's about puck control, and opening space in high scoring areas. Teams wanted to emulate the controlled carries the cup winning CHI teams had, but they did it on speed and Patrick Kane's skill. 99% of hockey players don't have that level of skill to open up ice after a controlled carry, but there are guys that can create that with speed.
Why the low center of gravity? To roll off checks, or to be able to maintain control while being checked. Goal is to open up diagonal lanes for higher quality scoring chances
Last year players that fit this profile dominated- Matt Barzal, Brayden Point. Another scored 75 points that no one expected- Vincent Trocek. Another had a career year- Phil Kessel. Another player became great out of nowhere- Brad Marchand. Watch Sebastian Aho light it up, he's another one. Keller, Zucker, Arvidsson. The game has changed, but the copycat league is what it is.

Degrees.
I learned Russian before I learned English and I can promise you there are no soft G's in Russian, he said that in order to make it easier on the media which says a lot about his character, he's a good kid but his name is sure as hell not Jeorjiev. He came out over the summer and said it as 'J'eorgiev. So she was right with a soft "G"....

Keep Jim Cerny away... from what i've heard he's a pretty terrible person.
What was the point of that?
