I think it's great really, not perfect feels like something is missing. A shoulder patch would be good and maybe a number on the other one. Those stripes at the arm should be a bit fater.

Its very plain but not horrible. If they add a Brooklyn patch on one shoulder and an Islanders logo in colour on the other it might be better.

Also need to see the numbers on the back as well as the pants and socks. It can work better than the previous alternates.

With all the waves? Hell No! The fisherman Isles jersey maybe the worst that's ever been conceived for a NHL team.

The Classic Isles jersey is the best.

I beg to differ.

I'm actually ok with it as an Isles fan. It has orange in the stick at least, I've always loved the idea of using the NY logo or a variation of it, and there isn't some dumb word mark.

It could be better, I'm shocked there was any color at all. I would have preferred more orange and blue to go with the black. But since I knew it would be black and white, I'm pleasantly surprised.

All the complaints about it being bland/practice etc, did you say the same about the Lightning's new jerseys? These are better than those by far.

I'd be surprised if this wasnt just a practice jersey
Else it's topped the last 3 terrible Islanders 3rds

A Brooklyn patch? What the heck is a Brooklyn patch? Do the Rangers have a Manhattan patch? The Islanders represent all of Long Island, not just Brooklyn. Hence, their nickname.

With a move to Brooklyn, I expect to see a little more to represent the area than a change to Nets colours. I wouldn't be shocked to see a small Brooklyn bridge patch on their shoulder or that new BKLYN logo that was leaked.

So you would have liked to have seen a Uniondale patch when the Islanders played at the Coliseum?

Should the following teams also have the logo patches of the cities where they play?

Florida - Sunrise, FL
Arizona - Glendale, AZ
NY Rangers - Manhattan, NY
Colorado - Denver, CO
Carolina - Raleigh, NC
New Jersey, Newark, NJ
Minnesota - St. Paul, MN

Yes, the Islanders should use a Brooklyn patch and those teams shouldn't use one for their city. Those teams try to win the entire area, not just their city/county. The Islanders should want to try to claim Brooklyn from the Rangers (unlikely, but should still be a marketing thing).

"Brooklyn" is much more marketable than "Raleigh."
