Just a poor PP effort. Not anything new. Kopitar hibernating offensively. Not anything new. The Kings playing a team that played the night before and not really doing much against that team. Not anything new.

Been pretty much that way for too long, going back at least 3 years. And I remember Davis Payne early in his tenure being asked about the PP (kings were on a PP drought) and why they seemed too stationary , passing in place and little movment. His explanation was that they work it that way to try to set 'it up', and that won't work most of the time. That 'perfect shot' percentage wise is not as effective as fluidity and movement, driving the net. Staying in place give the other team the advantage of defending and they have video and are well aware that the Kings seldom move.
It almost predictable that the puck will end up going the other way...again and again.

The only thing to be overly concerned about is the fact that the Kings will not win a SC again this year with Matt Greene and Brayden McNabb making up 1/3 of the defense and being paired together. That is something that is going to have to be addressed, even beyond Voynov returning.

That same thing probably could've been said last year. If anyone said Richards would be the 4th line center because of ineffectiveness, and Kopitar wouldn't score a goal against the Hawks(or the Rangers), there's no way the Kings could win the Cup. 3 Game 7's on the road?

One thing that's difficult to do with the Kings lately is making predictions with the playoffs. Especially in November. They've surprised before.

Lucky us. How the hell are you guys 28th in the league in defense and last on the pk? You guys looked top 10 tonight.:shakehead

Coaching. The offense was a little off tonight, but the TEAM defense was by far the most solid its been this season. The Isles have a good enough defensive core, but there team defensive work is usually pretty bad.

They won the first Cup because it. They had some life at the end of the last PP tonight, when they started moving a bit. You're just left wondering why it doesn't happen more often. Really with any team. PP's can be a weird thing sometimes. I guess that knowing you're probably going to fail on 80% of your PP's messes with your head. It's like a batter in baseball. You're not going to get on base more often than you will. That's just how it is.

Teams always play their best game against the Kings. (at least that's what my paranoid self thinks)

It's not you. It's been said REPEATEDLY for the last 10 games by our opposition that it's the best game they've played. Hell, we've spawned a main board thread per game regarding our opposition each game so even the fans are using it as a measuring stick even if our players are playing like drooling simpletons.

Get used to it. Teams get up for the Kings. Now if we could only fully round into shape...poor Quick. He's getting 2012 all over again.

First game back from road trip vs back to back//

Sloppy ugly game.... No flow at all

Well, you guys are making the California gauntlet look easy.Getting 4 points out of 6 isn't easy.
