Quick could've made that save on Nielsen but oh well, entertaining game. I'll take the point.

Powerplay is still trash though

Don't get why Sutter still puts kopi in sos

Because he's one of the best players in the shootout. He had the most shootout goals and the 3rd highest SO% on the team last season. Jones said Kopi is the hardest King to defend against in shootouts.

Well apparently we are witnessing the return of Kopitard. He must still not be 100% or something, because he just looks lost.

I don't know why this still surprises anyone. Kopitar is what he is. An elite 200 ft center that will get his 70 points a year.

The guy is not a 90 point player , he is not even a PPG player. Never will be either. He is what he is. Just like Brown.

Not our best effort.

Kings will be fine, stop overreacting, this is simply not a team that takes the regular season seriously. The Kings will not finish ahead of the Ducks in the division, they will have to take out the Ducks in Anaheim, just like they did last year.

The only thing to be overly concerned about is the fact that the Kings will not win a SC again this year with Matt Greene and Brayden McNabb making up 1/3 of the defense and being paired together. That is something that is going to have to be addressed, even beyond Voynov returning.

Not gonna lie, I got excited on the Lewis breakaway. Wanted him to go on a surprising goal scoring streak.

Brown and Richards have been looking great at least. Still need more from Kopi, Gaborik, and Williams when he returns to the lineup

Just a poor PP effort. Not anything new. Kopitar hibernating offensively. Not anything new. The Kings playing a team that played the night before and not really doing much against that team. Not anything new.

Yep. Even if and when Voynov returns, will he still be a King? Really didn't think the loss of Michell who hurt like it has.

You nailed it. Prior to tonight's game, the Kings allowed 30 or more SOG's in 9 of their games. And that pairing is brutal. Voynov out of action for this long and however many more games he misses will require some time for him to return to game shape. And I don't think it's out of the question that DL may move him.
If the D doesn't pick it up DL will make a move, he might not even wait for the trade deadline. He was trying to do that last year and I don't think his mindset has changed. He's going to try to put this team in position to win again, and that rquires an upgrade at D
They really miss Mitchell, esp on the breakout passes and controlling the tempo of the game

If Stoll really has no future with the Kings as some here speculate I would like to see Stoll moved for a draft pick and then the Kings can use the salary space to address the defense. Any drop off from Stoll to Lewis as fourth line center would be more than made up for in whoever replaces Greene in the lineup.
