This Sunday is a guaranteed loss, right? The cure for what's been ailing Josh Allen is JDR trying to scheme for him.

About as close to a guaranteed L as you can get. Team history vs BUF since 1993:

Yes. I knew all of this. It still isn’t smart to have ONE good LB. Which is where they are. As I said, they need at least TWO good ones. The rest can be younglings trying to figure their shit out (or a decent vet looking to enjoy a good team).

It's particularly unsmart to run the defense they've tried to for years with LBs who suck ass at pass defense. But they keep doing it

And hunt signs with the browns. Glad I spent a measly $5 on him, other guy dropped $51 on ford

They have a much better chance stealing the game since Von Miller isn't healthy yet. Buffalo has a thin secondary so there should be chances in the passing game if their front seven could doesn't consistently punish our OL. If Howell continues to hold onto the ball too long he could be eating a lot of turf.

On the flip side, Josh Allen is terrific but he's prone to being impatient and makes some bad decisions if he's pressured. There will be opportunities for turnovers with the pressure they Washington can generate. Buffalo smoked the Raiders on the ground but you have to figure with the way Payne, Allen, Sweat, and Young are playing that they should be better at containing them. They also don't have a game-changer at TE. Dalton Knox is fine though he's not going to terrorize them like a lot of TEs do.

They can't afford turning the ball over or the Jack Del Rio Special aka blowing multiple coverages allowing for easy scores. They have to make Buffalo go the full distance as often as they can. It's possible though it'll be difficult.

Also, just read that there will be 175+ alumni at the game for Alumni Weekend. Very cool. Hopefully they put on a good show for everyone.

Well it would appear JDR disagrees because this is the 2nd year they’ve gone this route.
I wouldn’t say that. They are trying to win “on the cheap” with the LB group. Akin to the OL group, and the TE group.

They aren’t impacting said groups w significant FA signings (I don’t count Wylie, really….he’s overpaid) or with significant draft capital.

So I don’t think it has much to do w JDR. It’s how RR wants to construct the roster.

I care less about the LB issue, than I do the OL.

Oh come on, are our memories that short?

Gibbs 1.0 routinely were behind at halftime, and schemed to win the game in the 2nd half.

Let’s not pretend that isn’t in our fiber as Skins fans. IT IS.

I’m not advocating this crop of ppl to replicate it, but do NOT think it’s weird. It could possibly be applicable, in a month or so.

Totally agree….them not losing the first two games as they typically would is an improvement, but they’re not beating any really good teams IMO, barring a top QB going down against them….

Yeah, but there's also rising to the level of your competition. We did that some last year, especially with Philadelphia. This team has the talent to be that. That we rise to a challenge is admirable, but that we don't just play that way all the time like actual good teams do is mostly a coaching/discipline issue.

I totally believed that EB story from camp where players were complaining about having to work too hard, for example. That was our culture, and there are inarguably still remnants of that going around that need to be overcome.

We can beat the Bills, is my point. They have weaknesses on both sides of the ball. Are we smart and committed enough to do what it takes to exploit them? That's the ballgame.

It is only the 3rd week of the season. Right now they are average, based on performance, but they have talent and potential to be better as the season progresses.

I expect double digit losses to teams with good fronts like Boys and Eagles .. I dont think our O line can handle it and will completely compromise our game.

Bills aint that team though imo.

Von Miller out.
Leonard Floyd missed practice yesterday.
They have some pieces but Miller and Floyd are their dogs and those dogs aint hunting right now.

Bills do have 2 game tapes now on Eric B's offense

Big picture, the Skins are Fun AND Dangerous to play against.

They have a LOT more playmakers on both sides of the ball, than they have in an awfully long time. One could argue 6-7 players on either side (Howell, Thomas, Robinson, Gibson, McLaurin, Dotson, Samuel on O…. Allen, Sweat, Payne, Young, Davis, Curl, Forbes on D), can all make plays that can change a game. That’s a LOT, and we’ve seen it already.

They are going thru the transition that EB/RR wanted, with regards to preparation. It’s not done yet. But it’s happening. We can see it.

But it’s still a flawed team in a few spots, so they are like almost all NFL teams. 6-11 wins depending on injuries, luck, growth, and the NFL Football Gods.

Right on target, so far.
