Just back from Paris. We had a wonderful time. The city was not too crowded due to Covid resulting in fewer tourists. Apparently the Chinese and Japanese are not traveling in any numbers right now, and the Americans are only just coming back. The only crowded museum that we visited was the Louvre, with a very long line to see the Mona Lisa if you care for that picture. I don't, and I have seen it before, so we skipped the one hour line to get close. The French full vaccination rate is over 75%, so we felt quite safe. The vaccine passport system (Pass Sanitaire) worked easily. A guy would check our mobile phones when we went into a museum or restaurant and when is reader flashed green, in we went. It took about 15 extra seconds at most. Now, if only someone here could make decent croissants here I would be happier. I believe that it is either the water or the flour that is different, but if someone can direct me somewhere with real French style ones I would appreciate it.
