Rumor: New Oilers Third Jersey

Has the jersey been confirmed with a link?

Nope.

A lot of people in the know about jerseys and such are skeptical since there's very little buzz, plus the Oilers didn't have anything new coming in the 2015-16 Reebok Style Guide.

I mean, that can all change, sure. Could we have an alternate jersey coming? Maybe. Will it make its debut at the draft? Unlikely.

Probably because they also want to honor Rexall/Northlands final year, so having the original Alberta Oilers jerseys come back for that makes sense.

Beyond that, who's to say they aren't already thinking about yet another jersey variant coming in 2-3 years?

Pittsburgh had the baby blue, then the reverse version of that (navy blue) soon after getting Crosby.

Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking now. Probably going to get another new jersey within the first couple of years in the new rink.

Yeah I really thought the original plan would be to release the jersey with the new arena. Or maybe, this is a one year thing to commemorate the last year in Rexal, and they'll release another new jersey next year. That wouldn't shock me actually.

Yup, you nailed it. I've already seen the commemorative crest somewhere. Totally forgot about that. Kudos.

Farewell Season. I moved away from Edmonton a long time ago but I have many fond memories there. Hopefully I can get back to take in a game before the season is over.

I like the jersey, it'll look great next to my OKC orange jersey I scored on clearance. I just won't personalize it as I dislike the numbers on the shoulders

I got 100 vcash that they unveil it at the draft by handing the new sweater to McDavid and he's the first to put on the new design. Not sure how I feel about that, but would be epic in a way.
