I'm young enough to remember when JT won battles in the corners and made some slick little feeds. Now it's just put the head down, try and plough through, and shoot, regardless of where he is.

Awful play in their own end, given up so many high chances, and odd man rushes... Doesn't matter how good you look in o-zone if you can't put anything together in ur d-zone

Games may have no implication on standings and home ice but meaning is found in competing well and always challenging yourself to be the best. No team is ever 100%, no player is always 100% but a team that struggles to find reasons to compete like Toronto have deep cultural problems. And we do.
This is right. You don't just show up in the playoffs and turn a switch and play faster and harder. You need to practice that play before the playoffs and ramp up.

Tavares is the best pker on on our PP
We all know he should just stand in front of the net.
But they pass it to him on the left wing and he proceeds to turn it over.
Doesn’t the brain trust see what we see?

Tavares is done like dinner!

;)

"The way you do anything is the way you do everything".

They're just a pond hockey team that has no culture of what it takes to actually be a Cup threat.

Now 4 goals on 20shots, if they win tonight It's in spite of Woll he has been absolutely pathetic tonight.

HE is letting them down tonight.

From watching the goals

1st goal is incredibly weak by woll, that cannot go in for a first shot

2nd-4th goals are just awful coverage/pinches. 2 on 1, down low pass, and a rebound from a pile. You'd love to get one save, but got to be tighter there

as for the other shots, idk who got the shot but the heat map on moneypuck shows a decent amount of slot shots

I don't understand why Keefe was barking at his team after the Devils tied it up 3-3. Leafs get 2 quick goals and have momentum. What does Keefe do put his 4th line vs their top line and then bam 44 seconds later its tied?

If I was Matthews and the big guns I would tell Keefe to F off. Keefe always makes stupid matchup mistakes

After 8 years, I really believe this team's issues go well beyond a coaching issue; it's a personnel problem. It's a willingness to compete, and we always lack this.
