Wow even Elias shat on that 4th goal given up haha. Him being interviewed in the 2nd has made this game somewhat enjoyable.

I’m a perennial optimist when it comes to the team. You know I believe in the good underlyings etc etc

But man this one is TOUGH

This team has a knack for giving up back breaking shit this season.

Just as you thought they may make a game out of it with the Haula goal.

If they come back from this tonight I'll be shocked.

This game is giving me PTSD to the 2013-2017 dark days. Just totally hopeless efforts with a few lucky goals sprinkled in to give us some hope.

Demko hasn’t been great. We are lucky he gave us 2 on only 16 shots
Haula's goal was a perfect shot. Pretty much every goalie is giving that up. The 1st goal maybe he was screened partially. The Devils have actually generated some good chances.

They got dominated in the 1st and the first 5 minutes of the 2nd in puck possession. If Daws and the team didn't give up that stinker than they would have a good chance in the 3rd. Vancouver is good this year and we obviously we know who we're missing this game. It is what it is but it being a 3 to 2 game heading into the 3rd would of been much better than 4 to 2.

I’m expecting this team to finish #9 or 10 in the conference.

Lindy got his get out of jail free card with all these injuries. The fact that this team when healthy still only had a bubble record will be ignored/forgotten.
They haven't really been "healthy" once this year, but since Nico came back on 11/25 was the healthiest stretch they've had. They were 13-5-1 in that stretch headed into tonight during that time, which is a 116.5 point pace. Nowhere near a bubble team. The underlying numbers (which I know you don't believe in but I do and it is extremely evident this front office does) have been good for the vast majority of games this season as well.

I've said before and I will continue to say that I don't think Ruff is a great coach and I don't think we're going to win the cup with him in charge, but I'm not holding my breath for him to go anywhere this season. They simply haven't been as bad as the standings suggest
