the long game exists as long as Nico's current contract is. You move Casey if you have to get proven players that can help now and in the window this core gives you.

Yeah, I'd be legitimately shocked if they actually fired a coach with term remaining after a season where they may end up with $32 million on IR by the end of this week, the various other injuries they've dealt with before this, and the goaltending issues. Even when they've been healthy they haven't played to their potential. Games like this only reinforce the fact that he's not the answer.
