What don't you get? It is about management not holding players accountable. I think ownership needs to step in and fire Lou and get rid of the deadwood finally. I would have been unloading vets a long time ago for picks and been rebuilding and would have already had the team in a better position to complete for the Stanley Cup for the future. It is very tiring to watch players get coaches fired when it is on them.
 
Funny thing is that Cory probably goes home after each Marty start and says "I got this in the bag." Only to come in the next game and ride the bench again...

I'm in shock, to be honest. I've never seen a team get royally screwed by bounces off defensemen's sticks and skates so many times in one single game. Then again, NJD isn't doing themselves any favors by giving up odd man rushes every second.

If there is any team that can come back in situations like this, it is the Devils.

The 2nd period saw the Rangers totally turn it around, what is to say the Devils can't do it? One goal can turn this around and shift the momentum, don't give up.
 
Man, this is not how Brodeur's career should be ending. Terrible d--stemming to terrible goaltending.


Let's see if Lou has enough balls to get rid of the 'captain' of this team.

They haven't competed at all the last 25 minutes, I walked out flat after goal 6, if they don't want to play I ain't dealing with this **** another hour and I already have a crappy drive home looming as is from South Orange.
 
The sentimentality that led to Brodeur starting this game is so stupid. It's a regular season game that means something in the standings, you play your best players.
 
This is the type of game where Deboer should have deployed more of a sit back style. 1-2-2 may have been the way to go..pinches have been awful and Deboer not once decided to adjust

Off course they will suck with all the **** that's been happening. Which team wouldn't be totally deflated after what happened today? I'm pretty damn sure Cory would have kept us in the game and as a result, we would have played better. Some guys here don't realise how demoralizing it is for the players to see their goalie play like **** and not make the big saves.

This game is not all on marty though. The defense has been putrid too (Gelinas/salvador especially)

Sadly, I must agree, but he has to start on occasion, Cory has never played 85% of the games in this league yet

Do you remember Sutter? Do you remember Julien? They were fired cuz they wanted to ask more from some of these guys and wanted to have certain players traded and Lou would not allow it.

Exactly.

The Lemaire style would have been perfect for this sort of game.
 
Brodeur is a starter, there is no excuse for this performance, but he cannot play like a backup. If he sits for a while, he gets rusty. Still think hes a good goalie, and can win games, but as a starter. Right now, with age I'd rather have Schnieder be our starter. Still think playing Brodeur was the right decision, but this is embarrassing. This team can score 3 in the third, but Cory needs to be in net, highly unlikely, but game isn't over.

Uh I got ripped for years asking for something different in NJ by fans here and elsewhere so as for speaking to a choir well that choir was never listening to me at all. I have been angry with this organization for a long, long time now.
 
Lou needs to do to Sal what the Sabres did with Rivet. Just sit him down and say "look, you're a great guy, but you ****ing suck and I'm waiving you."

Of course the only thing thats going to happen is more Peter Harrold
