Okay....Both are incorrect. Why would you want to mispronounce anyone's name? Would you want people to mispronounce your name?
It's SHE-monn NEH-mets. The Utica announcer in the Twitter video above pronounced it flawlessly.

At an absolute minumum.I'm expecting 2 years before he is ready to make an impact
on the other hand he plays for buffalo. At an absolute minumum.
Rasmus Dahlin was far and away the best D prospect since Hedman and even though he’s been strong since his rookie year, it’s taken him 4 years to reach the level everyone was expecting of him. And Dahlin had been playing in the SHL for two years, which i assume is good bit more competitive than the Slovak league.
Nothing to panic about with Nemec yet. A strong start would be nice but look at the difference in how he played from the beginning of training camp to the end. I’m gonna bet he’ll make huge strides after a full season of AHL games.
Ok, who told @sabremike ?!?!

It could end up working out really well having a player on their rookie deal coming up ready to contribute immediately. Probably smart to take it slow with him. Luke will be here next year so it could be tough to break in two rookies. Not at all worried about Nemec, but the fact that the consensus seems to be that he's at least 2+ years out is frustrating for reasons discussed many times before.
I'm sure Fitz tried, but really would've preferred to ship that 2OA pick out for immediate help.
Devils are the third best team in the nhl, who needs immediate help? Not at all worried about Nemec, but the fact that the consensus seems to be that he's at least 2+ years out is frustrating for reasons discussed many times before.

Why in the world is that the consensus? People though he would get some games in this year and be ready for next season not that long ago. Him not tearing up the AHL in the first month shouldn’t change that and certainly doesn’t for me. Haven’t been able to watch but it sounds like he’s still done well enough. Not at all worried about Nemec, but the fact that the consensus seems to be that he's at least 2+ years out is frustrating for reasons discussed many times before.

This post is a bit of a headscratcher. The Devils are leading their division and Nemec will provide exactly what the team will need in the next few years - a player that can outperform his contract. Not at all worried about Nemec, but the fact that the consensus seems to be that he's at least 2+ years out is frustrating for reasons discussed many times before.

The reporting was he offered it for Tkachuk. This post is a bit of a headscratcher. The Devils are leading their division and Nemec will provide exactly what the team will need in the next few years - a player that can outperform his contract.
Also, pick 2 has not been traded in the cap era. I doubt the reason is no one wants to acquire it. There are few players ever traded that are worth pick 2. I highly doubt Fitz was trying to trade it
As you know I believe little of the reporting by the Insiders. Would have been a very "un analytics" type of move. Virtually impossible from a numbers perspective to justify trading pick 2.The reporting was he offered it for Tkachuk.
I get it, but if you believed in the team and expected this sort of leap in wins maybe you are going for it with this core? I have my conspiracy theory on it but we will see how it plays out.As you know I believe little of the reporting by the Insiders. Would have been a very "un analytics" type of move. I may have got caught up in the wording from the post I responded to The poster seemed to make it sound like he was trying to trade the pick. The Devils may have viewed Tkachuk as a special situation and offered it. We know Calgary was not interested in futures. If Fitz was trying to trade it we know the Devils could have acquired DeBrincat with it.I get it, but if you believed in the team and expected this sort of leap in wins maybe you are going for it with this core? Fair points, but let's not pretend the team is flawless and couldn't use another elite piece that the 2OA could've gotten us.This post is a bit of a headscratcher. This league is all about cheap young talent now, and the only way to get cheap young talent is to have constant roster competition and churn coming from your recent draft picks.
