In the Church of Salmela
I hope we sign someone like Christian Jaros, a fellow Slovak D-Man to help him adjust in Utica. Our pro development team really needs to do a good job with him, giving him every opportunity to succeed
unsure if kidding, but no way jaros comes back to our org, dude didn't wanna go down to utica and preferred unconditional waivers

I am not opposed to giving Nemec a few games, but he really should spend the vast majority of the season in the AHL
i predict a couple to give him a taste of what it's like, ESPECIALLY if he does well during preseason

And who exactly would this RHD be? Are you thinking Free Agency or trade?
Could go either way. But given the #'s we have at fwd I definitely think we could make a trade.

For who exactly? I truthfully have no idea.
It really depends on who we bring in but if it’s not a big signing than he could reasonably displace whatever RD we have to 7th D if he did well enough. There’s also always injuries it seems so who knows what’ll happen.

At the end of day he likely starts in the AHL though. However, think it’s more likely than not that we see him at least briefly by the end of the season.
I tend to think we acquire a guy good enough that he would be guaranteed a spot. Can't acquire a legit veteran d-man who can still play and then immediately bench him.

And yes injuries. So Nemec goes to Utica providing what would hopefully be high quality depth.

As I said it depends who it is but there’s not that many guys out there on the market that wouldn’t be benchable. Like even if it’s Subban coming back. If Nemec was better than him in camp and looks good I’d be okay with Subban getting benched.
