Pretty much. Perfect time to win two in a row for the first time in a month. Struggling team on the road missing players with their GM on the bench coaching and now down to 5 dmen....buuuuut we have all seen this movie before.

Watch their goal again. Guy with first assist has time to catch pass on his backhand, bobble it, get set to take a big sweeping backhand pass to the front, and Schultz shows up at what felt like a minute later. He just doesn't move that well. Actually on the play, he never did quite make it there. Don't blame Greene.

The first period vs the Leafs and this 1st period tonight look nothing alike. 24th in the league on the pk and the Kings didn't do a damn thing but miss the net and fumbled the puck at the point, on all the 3 of them.

Maybe partially that but we ALWAYS struggle against teams shelling up because our controlled breakout approach allows them time to shell up in position perfectly. Like the buffalo game, the Calgary game, etc.

It's funny, all those chances 5 on 5 O'donnel was talking about forced NJ into talking penalties and the Kings failed to take advantage of them.
