Anaheim has virtually no cap space now that Hampus Lindholm has been resigned. The New Jersey Devils are looking for D-Men and the Ducks need a quality forward to put up some points.

New Jersey Recieves:
Cam Fowler

Anaheim Recieves
Mike Cammalleri (50% Retained)
2017 4th Round Pick

The Ducks will receive a quality left winger on a 1 year deal and get back 2 million in cap space. Devils eat up a lot o cap for a Top 4 defenseman. This trade would hinge on how high Anaheim would want a pick and If Mike Cammalleri waves his NTC. I believe he would because he would be thrown onto a contender but then again he might want to ride out his time with New Jersey.

Not interested in moving Fowler. It sounds like the team feels the same. Lindholm is even quoted as saying he took a discount to keep the team intact.

Also, that offer is really bad.

I thought we were done with this ********. That offer is putrid especially with how Fowler has been playing thus far. So bad.

Not intriguing for the Ducks, either in terms of specific assets moved, nor in terms of value. You could make that a 1st, and it would still not be very good.

That's only because you said "be gentle", mind you. :)

fowler has been anaheims best player this year, so naturally they will trade him for a 35 year old winger.

Your offer is bad and you should feel bad.

Would be more interested if Zacha was the starting point, but you guys have on multiple occasions said no to that, so no deal to be done.

There are sensible ways to deal with a tight cap. Trading Fowler for a decade-older winger on a one year deal is not one of them.

Zacha is untouchable everyone knows that. No one is giving the Ducks **** for Stoner. They Have -cap space which means if they dont make a trade, they have to pay ALOT of money. Who would the ducks trade and expect to get a decent return for? They end up freeing 4 million in cap after the year and get a winger who can score.

That response was a bit... heated.

Fowler isn't a player we move to free up space. He's a player we would move to try to make the team better. This deal doesn't do that. If you want Fowler, you need to pay for him. Simple as that.

Fowler has been a revelation so far this year and his trade value is probably at an all-time high. It really would take Zacha to acquire him.

The Ducks can use LTIR and shuffle some guys to San Diego to round out the cap situation. They'll be fine, regardless of Stoner's contract. A year of Cammalleri is not worth giving up Fowler, sorry.

actually the ducks are cap compliant with despres and thompson on LTIR, so sorry bro, you are not getting fowler, who has been the ducks best player so far, for pennies on the dollar

I suggested this months ago with a lot of push back. Good luck with this. Cams does have this year and 2 more BTW.
ANd Fowler is playing good hockey so it will be tough to do now

Fowler is more then likely not on the trade market any more, And besides get real Anaheim isn't trading for an aging Mike Cammalleri any ways. More then likely it would take at least Boucher to get Fowler if he were available and more then likely he's not.
