The latest thing is to cheer on losses because "that will keep Leaf fans from going on the main board".

You mean after 16 years of not much we can't be talking about Toronto's regular season accomplishments in the 20-21 season?

Are we annoying other fans because our superstars are maturing and helping Toronto win?

Stop listening to these party poopers! Cheer for Toronto. A fan will always be a fan.

Go Leafs Go, and let people cheer for Toronto on the main boards.

I agree with not caring what other fans think. I have never started a thread on the mainboards for that very reason.

Many threads about the Leafs are not started by Leaf fans. They love nothing more than to complain about or taunt Leaf fans. If it bothers them, guess what? Don't open the link.

People like to complain after throwing a jab that they get a hook right back. Too bad, so sad. If you spend years picking on someone, don't go whining when they go to the gym and one day tune you. If you don't want that, the surest way to avoid it is to not treat them the way you did in the first place.

Leaf fans have tolerated decades of it.

Now just make some noise in the playoffs. If/when they ever win it all, you've earned the right.

Understood but if it was you, wouldn't you look at the number of Leaf related threads there are already and ask yourself "Hmm, is anyone really interested in another one before I post this?"

Oh I agree, there doesnt need to be any more

But for the most parts its not the core hfLeafs community starting these threads

- the aforementioned threads started by non-Leafs fan, most of which are just thinly veiled trolling attempts or concern trolling

- the most bizarre poster type on hfboards - The team fan who NEVER visits the actual team board. I dont get these types. But they exist. Usually just to cause trouble.

If we're talking about in regards to the main boards, I have definitely never have done this.
But I have tried to deter people from actively talking about McDavid leaving to come to Toronto when his contract is up. I mean, it's super annoying when people act like Matthews is destined to leave us to go to Arizona, so I just think we could be the bigger people on this one item.

Most anything else feels like fair game to me. I do not feel bad at all about rubbing our season so far in the faces of the other Canadian fanbases. Not that I'm being obnoxious about it, but I could lol

In theory the main boards is a place to get valuable outside opinions on your club and keep up with league wide discussion. It's about being informed and part of the bigger community imo.
Problem is it rarely works out that way.

I’ve been here since 2003/04. Other teams fanbases have had no problem stomping on us when we were down, and sure as hell weren’t humble when they were up top.

It definitely wasn't easy from 2005-2016. Seems like such a long, long time ago when we thought Tlusty was going to save us lol.
