Braden Holtby new mask

"Holtby´s new Caps mask is here...

I am very happy to unleash Braden Holtby´s latest Washington Capitals mask artwork. Braden and I have been working together for many years and it is always such a great pleasure to create Braden´s new mask designs. Love to be your mask artist Braden.

This new creation follows in the same lines as his previous designs with the old school touch, all based on the awesome Capitals logos. The white base of the mask makes it very clear and even more old school.
The design is created in a new way in a mix of old school vintage effects mixed with top modern 3D effects.

I love the challenge to come up with new ideas every day of the year. Every new mask is totally unique.

The closer you come to the mask the more details you will discover, and when you are really close the mask transforms into a storyteller design.

It was ugly in New York and it's ugly now.

I don't know. I don't really think it will look like anything from afar. Pretty sure all you'll see is an orange mess, then when you zoom in, you'll be able to see that in actual fact, it's an orange mess.

I personally think it matches very well, especially shown with the image above of him wearing it, rather than the one he linked. The black pants make a very easy transition to black pads, and the black stripe on the arms makes for a good transition to the glove and blocker. If anything, it makes just as much if not more sense than white.


That all being said, if the red and black were flipped, they would be even more awesome in my opinion.

Holtby's mask looks quite nice. If Dave did stuff like that more often, his reputation would be far better around here.

I also like Crawford's pad setup. Very sleek and it compliments the uniform nicely.
