OT: New Goal Song Talk Part 1

my only request is that every time we score on the Flyers, it plays the Benny Hill theme during the replay

 
Ok, final submission with this song specifically. No possibly annoying cannons in this one. Good night all. :)

 
I love that the thread is labeled "Part 1", implying this discussion is gonna warrant over 40 pages of discussion which, who we are we kidding, it is.:laugh:

That should be the theme song before the PSEG power play begins.:laugh:

Someone could make a good video the length of that song with highlights from our PP the last few years. Like all the shorthanded goals we've given up, the failed 5 on 3s and double minors. Inability to gain the zone.:laugh:
 
Does anybody know if the organization is open to listening to suggestions?
 
Not that they have to do this to get people to opening night. Because they dont and it shouldnt be the reason someone attends a hockey game.

But if i were Devils PR with how they are on social media. I would come up with 5 choices about 5 days out from opening night. Put them all out on twitter facebook and whatever else. Hold a vote and then the people would find out which song won on opening night when the Devils score.

Make it fun and interactive with the fans, let them have a say and those that do it have something else to get them all pumped up for and to be waiting for when that goal happens.

FYI i think they should keep it the same but if they are going to change it listen to the fans.

They did have a fan vote in 2006-2007. That's how Ole became the goal song for a year.

Don't think that is a bad idea. Gives them some control by picking the list, but letting the fans get involved on the final choice. If this is all really going down they should definitely do this.

and the fan voting was so terrible that they changed the song when the move to the Rock was complete.

Then it was realized that fans still preferred RRPt2 so they changed it back.

This is going to be yet another terrible decision no matter how they decide to pull it off. So fans are chanting "You Suck" is that any worse than the suck/swallow or *******/******** chants towards referees at times?

No. Good parents will tell their kids its inappropriate to say those things at home and not rely on a sterilized sporting environment.

This is yet another case of the minority winning out over the majority.
 
I opened a thread for this 2 years ago and many people thought that it was important to keep the rrpt2 for its history. Weve had it since we were in Kansas, right? Or Colorado? Cant remember which but its been around for a while
