Abdul Carter has gotten better & better as the season has gone on & he’s gotten more comfortable playing the EDGE. I think there’s a legit chance he goes top 5 at this point.

He's got a chance of going 1OA. Every other player from the positions that usually go in that slot have disappointed in some way.

The consensus top two players at this point are both Corners. The last DB to go 1OA was 70 years ago.

Indiana winning out would make me so happy. I want 1v2 in the B1GCG between two super fun teams.

I don’t know if he would have went anyway but you have to be liking the way the coaching carousel is shaking out if you’re an Indiana fan/administrator.

I don’t know what big(ger) job is going to be available at this point with Florida announcing Napier will be back next year.

I’d imagine bigger schools are gonna come after their staff this offseason for sure though.

The one thing I want to see is if anyone makes the NFL jump. I was looking at options for this cycle and it is dire for young offensive names. Obviously you know I wouldn't hesitate to give Monken a HC gig, but he's about to be 59. There's Ben Johnson, who will have his pick of the litter. And then who's even an option? Maybe Liam Coen? Probably a year early there. Kubiak isn't ready. Bobby Slowik sure as shit isn't either. Would another franchise somehow trust Kliff?

Florida State should be available they had the buyout money. Norvell is done there, imo. He can't hold together any respectable resemblance of HS recruiting.

What’s the buyout though? He’s in the first year of extension. I cannot imagine that would be cheap.

I would have dropped him into the Riley, Franklin, Venables, etc. bucket where I would have imagined fans/media are more so driving it then the ones actually making decision & paying those buyouts. I don’t know Norvell’s number but apparently all three of those guys are north of $40M+ to get out of their contracts. Riley it’s apparently over $80M to fire him this year.

Oh yeah, it's not going to happen. They don't have rich guy oil money like A&M. But, he's the only coach in that group where I feel like there's a clear decline coming versus upside or even a plateau at current state. They are awful and they have some of the shallowess roster depth of any P4 program. Norvell needs to gut his staff and start over if they are stuck with him for another 3+ years.

He just fired both of his coordinators and another assistant. Things are bad.

Did the players feel the bump when the team bus rode over these dudes?

It cost them like around $7M for the buyouts for those three coaches apparently. Much cheaper than the price tag mentioned above for Norvell.

Andy Staples had an article this morning about how you’re probably gonna see a lot of movement at the coordinator positions for big schools since most of the big schools are tied down with their head coaches for better or worse.
