It’s tough. The sad part is I don’t think Allar has been bad this year, he just doesn’t really have a lot of help. PFF had him as a top ten graded QB coming into this game. KLS is good but he’s probably a really good second or third receiving option on an elite team.

Nothing will ever again be as bad as watching Sean Clifford play football.

I'll ask you the same thing (-ish) - who are the next stars in NCAA coaching?

Probably not a shock that I agree that their best case scenario is to keep Franklin and hand off the offense. And you’re going to know the guy I want to give it to — Brennan Marion.

If they actually paid that buyout, I’m going to say Lance Leipold. If I get to ignore the recruiting aspect because we have no idea how these guys would do, my shortlist is Ryan Grubb (Washington OC) and Mike Denbrock (LSU OC formerly at Cincy).

The BIg 10 is owned by Michigan and Ohio State no way they were going to let Penn State win this game plus Franklin sucks at coaching. I find it funny that Harbaugh was only suspended for the regular season why not the rest of the year?

I actually think this is Michigan’s window. They’ll still be good next year & obviously you’ll have the expanded playoff. They’re set to lose a lot after this year including possibly McCarthy. So I’m not sure they’re a bonafide top 5 team next year.

I think next year it kind of turns back to Ohio State & everybody else. They’re the only one in conference that can really recruit at a level to mitigate talent leaving every year.

transfer portal helps them I'm guessing Allar in Michigan next year lol

Should be this game everyone should be tired of his act by now. I'm waiting to see if he throws the players under the bus again.
The only reason I saw next year because of Penn State’s schedule and the expanded playoff. Franklin is very obviously a poor gameday coach when the other team can match talent.

1-9 vs. Ohio and Michigan, 3-18 vs. AP top 10. This is not an A-level college football program, ones who are don’t accept that.

I don’t even know what the buyout number is but I think he’s like in his second year into his current contract so it’s probably too expensive (as well as when you factor in cost of paying for another coach to come in).

Even taking the financial ramifications out of it, it’s still hard to fire a guy who’s winning like 70% of his games as long as it doesn’t sag below like 10 wins or whatever.

Their boosters still have a mentality that isn’t aligned with the rest of college football. They’re still playing catch up from the Paterno era & still some times applying that financial standard to degree to today. So I don’t think even those people want to pay it either.
