I really, really do not understand what just happened in Oklahoma-Texas. Texas had almost 30 seconds on the play clock and Oklahoma had the FG Block team out there. There was no ability to change the play? It's free ffs.

These back door covers are out of control. Every single time.

Did that Pick 6 get you?

McCord can thank the D for keeping Maryland at bay long enough to get frustrated. The Terps had chances to bury OSU after the quick start. Easily could have been a different result, despite the final score.

I don't think Maryland can hurt Michigan or PSU. This was their chance to go big game hunting.

My usual expectation for Maryland, especially this year, is that they should thump every team in their own general range and should get thumped by the major programs. It's limbo.

And recruiting is hard, because there's a ton of great talent in the area but none of it wants to go there for various reasons. Local sports radio talks to a lot of them and a ton simply want to try leaving home. At the same time, convincing major talent to come to College Park isn't an easy sell either.

Wow. Texas just let the clock burn. What the hell??

There’s really no middle tier in the Big Ten this year. I’m not really sure the Big Ten has a legit top 25 team this year beyond Ohio State, Michigan, & Penn State. So this is an opportunity for a school like Maryland who might be the fourth best. Iowa, Wisconsin, & Michigan State aren’t good this year which typically they’ve helped make the league deeper in other years. Then the bottom is really bad with Indiana, Northwestern, Purdue, & Nebraska. So schools like Maryland & Rutgers can potentially make more head way this year with a weaker conference.

Good analysis. One place where I choose to differ is at the top. MI and PSU are there. Which one is the better will be determined. OSU doesn’t look to be in their level.
If the Buckeyes drop two or, gasp, three games this season including the Wolverines, Day is going to be on a real hot seat. Some “fans” want Hartline, a “real Buckeye”, to be the HC. The Bears sniffed over Day for their job two years ago but he turned them down. If they come knocking again, he might just take it.

Absolutely. Picture perfect Day 2 WR.

Sidenote, but I really do not understand this desire to comp the other QBs to Maye. He's closer to Williams than he is the field. I'm thrilled taking him 1/1 in a normal year.
"He's a good constellation prize."
"A team would be happy to spend a top 10 pick on him."

It really does feel like the draft community is doing him dirty. I think he's the same caliber of propsect as TLaw.

These were no-brainers at those odds. There was a brief moment when Bama ML was +108 or something but I was too slow to get it.
