I am not remotely sure VT has figured any of our issues out. I am sure that Pitt is a huger debacle than I thought, and I thought they were having a pretty bad time the last couple weeks
Until they beat Purdue and Rutgers caliber schools, probably not. If that was a backdoor plan to get invited to the Big Ten, guessing it didn’t work.

Yeah I came away from that more stunned at the horrible state of Pitt's offense than I was reassured about anything VT.

Penn State really needs to improve offensively going forward. Allar wasn’t great today but the lack of a run game & explosive plays are very much an alarming trend at this point 5 games in & it’s not gonna cut it to reach the playoffs.

Defense is very much playoff caliber though. They’re teeing off against inferior competition like they should. They didn’t even need the turnovers today. They probably go legit four deep on the edge. Dani Dennis-Sutton & Amin Vanover are probably getting more snaps at most other places.
This is exactly why it would've been nice to let Allar take the reigns last year and get some experience after the OSU loss ended our season instead of letting middle aged Sean Clifford take his 10th year victory lap and lead us to the best meaningless bowl game possible.

I also think the WR Unit is pretty lackluster after KeAndre Lambert Smith... Cephus looks really shaky and largely gets zero separation.

The drive for 325 takes a bit of a hit.

The funny thing is their remaining schedule is so bad there’s probably a realistic potential pathway for them to end up in the 8-10 win range with a possible trip to Indy for the Big Ten CG.
