I only wish my Dad was still around to have witnessed this game.Biggest Knicks fan to ever walk the Earth.I have his ticket stub from the Knicks last Championship in 73...Miss you Dad and know you were watching

Very blessed I watched tonight with my Dad who is about to be 75 years old, we are thinking about your brother. Always take a moment to be with your loved ones for these once in a lifetime moments, you and @Machinehead have been in this thread for years, I can’t wait to finish this job.

Think about how many NYers have come & gone since they last won it all. Puts a lot into perspective.

I keep telling my nephew to soak this all in because he'll never see a run like this again in his life...And that was before the Finals even began. I had no idea they had another crazy comeback in them.

To me this is the best part of being a fan. The only thing better than your team actually winning it all is being on the precipice of winning it all. After it's all over it's like a huge sugar crash, but that feeling before it happens is just a crazy high.

I'm getting some tonight...might be alone,BUT IM GETTING LUCKY

I'm thrilled our Legends like Frazier,Ewing and King are on this ride with them.Especially Pat and Bernard because they never won 1.You were spot on word for word with your post and what you told your nephew

My buddies & I had a tape of Girard from back in the late 80s recapping some random Knick loss where Cartwright was just abused.

One play he let's a guard drive right past him without contesting the layup & Jerry just deadpans, "Look at the D".

Then Cartwright actually makes an easy basket & Girard again as sarcastic & wryly as possible, "Oh he's deadly from there".

He was the best & so unheralded. He'd be a national star if he was around today.
