Seems like a lot to give up?

Is this worth it if they end up losing out on all their FAs?

They had A LOT to give up. after the trade, they still have all of this:

2024

1st round pick via Mavericks (24th overall)

1st round pick (25th overall)

2nd round pick (38th overall)

2025

1st round pick via Detroit (Top 13 protected)

1st round pick via Washington (Top 10 protected)

2nd round pick via Brooklyn

2nd round pick via Detroit (Top 55 protected)

2026

1st round pick

2nd round pick via Minnesota

2nd round pick via Brooklyn

2027

2nd round pick

2028

1st round pick (Brooklyn owns the right to swap)

2nd round pick via Indiana or Phoenix

2029

2nd round pick via Indiana or Washington

2030

1st round pick

2nd round pick

2031

2nd round pick

Basketball trades are something else. What gets me is they only have 2 rounds in their draft but they treat the picks like they are 6th and 7th rounders in the NHL

3 picks tonight, I imagine we get a rookie center and a cheap vet center in free agency.

Really exciting times.

Center needs to just exist and not vomit on himself for 16 minutes a night.

Talk about a plum job.

Till Robinson gets hurt again.

Hartenstein isn't coming back. He's going to get some huge offers that the Knicks would be smart not to match/beat.After acquiring Bridges and resigning OG they need to bring in another big man for a lot less money

God, I love having a front office that is smarter than me.

I just read that even after the Bridges trade, the Knicks still have 5 1st round picks over the next 6 years and about 5 million 2nd rounders.

bunch if protections on the 1sts, esp washington, but they have a pretty good track record with later picks. quick, deuce, grimes, etc.

i'm curious if jokubaitis is gonna come over

There’s financial implications for their draft moves last night, and I trust someone wsy smarter than me in Brock Aller to figure it out.

I believe these moves help up the max they can offer Hartenstein now
