10 Worst NY Knicks front office decisions past decade:

1. Jokiam Noah Contract
2. 1st Rounder, Two 2nd rounders, Novak, Camby, QRich for Andrea Bargnani. 1st was used to select Poetl who was then trade for Kawhi Leonard.
3. Amnesty used on Chauncey Billups instead of Stoudemire.
4. Gutting core of players to bring a rental Melo from that exciting young Knicks team.
5. Hardaway Jr. Contract
6. Ntilikina pick
7. Knox pick
8. Porzingis trade
9. Keeping OQuinn and Kanter after deadline, win meaningless games against Mavericks that led to choosing Kevin Knox over Luka Doncic.
10. Derek Fisher as coach

I read an article about Melo in Portland and how well he's doing. I know some people hate him and see him as a failure, but I'll always like the guy.
They actually named him Western Conference player of the week.

Despite Harden averaging 47 points that seem week. Lol

Fizdale is not a good coach. The hire always struck me as trying to bring in a personality that could keep the team's spirits afloat while they went through what looked to be a couple of losing series while they tried to tank.

Instead, they finally started tanking - did it for a single year - (the 76ers tanked for many years before getting Embiid and Simmons! they didn't just get these guys the only 2 years they drafted high!) - and then decided to sign every power forward available and think they should compete this season...

It's pretty crazy to me they are doing this. RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson are nice pieces, but alone, they are no reason to think your rebuild is over and it's time to start winning. This team needs to suck until they draft a true franchise player (in my opinion). Keeping Fizdale at least for the season would probably have helped both in the locker room and in ensuring they don't get much better...

I don’t doubt the interest from the Knicks and Dolan.

I doubt why anyone sane would think it’s gonna be different for them. Ujiri could go anywhere he wants. Any team.
Maybe if Knicks offered him ownership stake like Heat did with Riley, he would be willing. That's the only way IMO.

He'll be fine. Give him time. Lots of **** players around him.
He has serious shooting issues, plays with tunnel vision and is one of the worst Knicks players in WS/48. I'm not impressed with him and I worry about his game.

The East is also no cakewalk to make the playoffs. Raptors, Heat, Sixers, Bucks, Pacers, Celtics, Nets and Magic are all pretty good teams with young cores.

That's not even including more talented teams than the Knicks like Chicago, Atlanta, Washington (With Wall).

Unless they suddenly start becoming a FA destination for top players or start drafting well, they will be stuck in this bottom 5-10 purgatory for the long term.

Tons of rookies struggling this year. Garland in Cleveland, Hunter and Reddish in Atlanta are all struggling. Ja Morant is the only one killing it.

Pacers are a good team, nothing special about them. Will Bucks manage to keep Giannis? Magic are just ok. Wizards suck, with and without Wall. Lot can change in a year or 2.

There aren't too many teams (in the NBA) where any current Knick player would start.

Right now, they are EXTRA-BAD.

Pacers have won 47, 48 games in the past two seasons. Sabonis has taken a step up and they signed Brogdan who is surely going to be an All-Star this season. They're on Pace to win 53 games this year without Oladipo playing at all. They're absolutely a good team and playoff locks for the long term barring injury IMO.

Magic I feel are really just a scorer away from being 45+ win team. Their defense is pretty damn good and a free agent like DeRozan will greatly improve them. They gave the Raptors a bit of trouble last season.

It is true a lot can change in 5 years - but it won't with Dolan.

Yeah I don't think any of those struggling rookies project to be star players though.
